Just got off the phone with the shop. $250 to get my fuel pump replaced and $25 to tow it in. Could be worse. That price is because I'm friends with the shop owner. Couldn't have happened at a worse time of year though.

Good Morning Gents!!! Getting cold around here, but sunny all the same. I hope those of you on the East are safe with the return snow/storm :(

Pete - I hope you keep warm man. That really doesn't sound good with no power and the snow coming in.

I got a mailday yesterday...pretty stoked for this one:

Nice pickup Alex.

Power is on for now. but areas around are on day 11 with no heat /electric. Gas lines are easing though, but some owners are being dicks and not filling gas cans for generators.
Price gouging has been seen with stations charging $4.80 and cash only. The fines are less than the $$ they will make I guess.
Just getting to be too much strain on people

Morning all.
I've omitted the "Good" part from my usual sign on. I'm home from work today and tomorrow to spend time with our German Shepherd whose time with us, after almost 13 years, is about to come to an end. Her back legs have all but stopped functioning to the point where we have to help her walk and take the food and water to where she's laying down. Tonight, we'll be giving her a meal of steak and some crab meat as these are her all time favorite foods. Having her put to sleep is one of the hardest decisions my wife and I have ever had to make but she has been absolutely the best dog we could've hoped for and doesn't deserve to suffer any longer due to our being selfish and wanting to keep her with us. Tomorrow will be both a heart wrenching and comforting day when we go to the vets office. As I firmly believe dogs go to heaven, Curly will be able to run and chase the squirrels once again completely free of pain.

Dave, I feel ya man. We had to do the same with one of ours several months ago. It's awful hard but the best thing some times. She would want you to go out and get another companion to help ease the pain. Good luck with whatever you decide. :grouphug:

I really feel for you man. I haven't had to go through this with any longtime pets. My girlfriend is going through the same thing with one of her dogs. They've had her for 17 years, ever since my girlfriend was 3. We were home this past weekend and it was hard seeing her dog. She lost a lot of weight, has a hard time walking, and I had to help her get up after she would lay down.
