Yeah, get anything small or big repaired/covered. This is what I did, and we've had no real issues. Congrats on the purchase!

Luckily, because of the financing program I'm going through, there can not be any major (or barely any minor) repairs in order to qualify for it. I would not have qualified for it had the owners not painted 2 window sills that had cracking paint on them.

Afternoon fellas.

Nice bunch of cards George!

Getting ready for a busy weekend. Saturday, gonna hit the dog park, clean leaves out of gutters, and take the boys to their cousin's birthday bowling party. Sunday, meeting my friend and going to the Sun-Times card show from 10-4, then since the wife said I could have the day to myself, probably watching football at Buffalo Wings and Rings (since I got a $25 voucher from Groupon for $7 this week). Sunday is WINNING!

Updated my want lists in anticipation of the show. Think I'll try to find at least 1/2 of the remaining 34 cards I need to complete my 1972 Topps set. I'll also be looking for bargain 90's and early 2000's inserts at the show. Here's my want list if anyone can help!

oh crap the photobucket saga continues, now when I load something to them for some reason they seem to post on my wife's facebook wall, WTF

I'm going to pull out my hair today, I'm telling you

I am in the process of changing over to imgur. Did a few tests with it. Was just waiting to see what kind if changes bucket was going to make. Not impressed thus far. If i can handle sitting in a chair today, I'm going to try to get it done today.

This be the jersey I purchased today. Might not be the EXACT same one, but it's the same style, #, and it's GU'd.

Why don't you like it? Just curious.

I am conflicted though... I love the BSU Beavers, who hate the Gophers, but I love both teams, so... I don't know.

I just grew up watching the Gophers so they will always be my team. I do enjoy watching the Huskies, though.

I absolutely hate using outlines for papers.

Writing with parameters drives me nuts.

Normally, I would prepare an outline just to satisfy the teacher and then never touch it, but I have to expand on this outline and I have no clue how to do that.

I also don't think I looked up the correct information... This is going to be a LONG weekend.

A strong outline is your friend, Taylor, trust me on this one. Any analytical writing that you do will be vastly improved by using an outline, even if it is a bare-bones one. Will keep you on track and avoid rambling.

Also, in case I weren't socially awkward enough, I am going in for final testing and likely fitting for a hearing aid next week. Thought my recent hearing problem was tied into a new BP medicine side effect, but turns out to be degenerative. Add that to the recent heart flutters and dizzy spells and it has been a rough couple weeks. Getting EKGs twice a week now until they figure out what is going on.

Growing old ain't for sissies, man. :(

I keep some form of organization to a paper, but some outlines can be so complex and specific that it doesn't allow me to input the required information. This one is the exact opposite. It's so simple that it really doesn't organize anything for me at all.

I really enjoy writing but being limited on research papers irks me since I'm more of a creative writer.

I get that. I prefer creative writing, myself, but even with that I tend to have a minimal outline as to conflicts/resolutions.

Just saw this on MLB Trade Rumors. Gave me a chuckle.

This was a bit before MLB Trade Rumors' time, but it was on this day in 1886 that the first trade in Major League history took place. The Cincinnati Red Stockings acquired base-stealing outfielder Hugh Nicol and Jamie Moyer from the St. Louis Browns in exchange for rookie catcher Jack Boyle and $400. Here's some modern-day hot stove action from around the majors...

couple of 5-tool prospects there, too bad they failed to produce a solid WAR.......Browns GM really fleeced the Redstockings.
