I don't have room for them in my room. I'm sure one of our LCS's might need one..I went to Hoopers Sport Cards yesterday and it looked like he could use them. Hooper Sports Cards in Scottsdale | Hooper Sports Cards (480) 860-1449 & 9393 N 90th St, Ste 103, Scottsdale, AZ 85258 | <Retail Shopping/Antiques & Collectibles/Sports Collectibles & Memorabilia> - Yahoo! US Local I'd give them a call...Others are on cardshopfinder.com

Good luck finding someone that will buy them:cool:

Not the big floor kind...the on your own wall kind.

Good morning!

Winter weather has my district closed again. It doesn't even look bad out there but oh well. It will give me more time to play with my new camera!

In response to your question from last night, respiratory therapists mainly work with lung diseases like asthma (which is what I have), but they can also be hired to be on-call in ER's and physician's offices.

It also only requires an associate's degree, and the starting salary (in relation to the degree) is very high. I'm going to get my 4-year right off the bat though.

It requires a lot of general studies classes which is what I am working on now. I won't begin the actual degree for at least another year or so.

My fiance and I woke up to another email from our psychotic (almost) ex landlord. Never in my life have I dealt with someone so unprofessional in a professional setting. I've dealt with better business etiquette ordering from Dominos.

Long story short, we've been out of the apartment since the end of December when we moved into our new house, but our lease isn't up until Feb. 27th so I've been paying out the remainder. Anyways, we went in last weekend to get it all cleaned up and move in ready for the next prospective tenants (whenever they find someone). We left a couple things behind since we told her we wouldn't be out until the 31st and wouldn't be able to do our walkthrough until then. Fast forward to this morning when we receive this email

"I walked thru 201 sunday. it's a long way from being clean.

i took several pictures. nail holes, broken blinds, food on the ceiling
in the kitchen above where the table was, dirty oven, dirty frig, dirty
cabinets, dirty tub, dirty carpet... ask yourself, would you move into
an apartment that looked like that???

hell no."

Our response

"Well, first of all, Laurie. Why did you go in there without our consent? Not even that, but informing us first? We never once said it was ready for a walk through or asked you to do it. Our lease is not up and I told Rachel we would be out the 31st, expecting you to do the walk through AFTER that. Did we say we were ready for it? No, we did not. Also, do you expect us to spackle and repaint the nail holes? That is not on our move out list in the lease. The oven, was like that when we moved in, just so you know. We have a little more cleaning to do since we NEVER said we were ready for it. Also, I would like to do the second walk through with you and with my consent of it being ready."

And her response...

"Kelly, you forget I own the place. Since you are not actively living there, I do NOT have to give you notice. You should call a lawyer.

If you don't have the place in move in condition, that's when I start deducting from your deposit. End of story.

It's pretty hard to show the place and get it rented - which would save you Feb rent - in the current condition.

Your not to smart, are you???"

And our final response to her

"Laurie, first of all there is no reason for rude, attacking comments. My I.Q. has nothing to do with the matter at hand. If I really wanted to, I could consider that harrasment. Also, we never expected it to be rented for February, as stated in precious emails between the two of us, we are completely aware that we will be paying rent for that month. Also, let me ask you again if we told you we were ready for the walk through? I understand we are not staying there and that you own the building. I am perfectly clear on that. But, I never stated to anyone that we were finished with cleaning and that it was ready for walk through, we still have stuff there. Now, in your reply to this email I would appreciate it if you did not make rude comments directed towards me. This entire relationship we have is based off of the apartment. I have never made a personal comment about you, so please refrain from attacking me. Thank you."

What the actual XXXX...

Sorry for the long read and the rant guys, I've just been dealing with this lady for nearly a year now and I'm more than fed up.

What's everyone up to today?

I have to take an I. Algebra quiz that I didn't have any time to study for. It should be pretty basic stuff. Also have a pysch quiz to do.

Good Morning men

my little ones are home today due to a school professional day so I took advantage and slept in some. getting ready to run out and do a couple errands. Skye had a great birthday yesterday. We got her the BluRay player she's been asking for so now they can watch Netflix in their bedroom or movies when they have sleepovers with friends.

Have a great day everyone!

Wow, she is nuts! You are handling it the right way, in my opinion. Make sure to save all these emails from her. I would suggest, if you haven't done so already, to make sure you get all your valuable stuff out of there asap.

This pysch class is starting to frustrate me. 2 quizzes, and 5/10 on each. I try to study the material, take notes, read, re-read, but some of the stuff isn't given to us. I have to figure this out before it gets out of hand.

Yeah she's definitely something...I have all the emails between us saved all the way back to the bed bug issues to make sure I have them if (when) something comes up. Everything valuable is out. There's just a couple things I didn't have room for in my truck. It's just astonishing to me that someone who essentially owns and operates a business can be that unprofessional.

Dang dude, that's brutal. We had a very similar thing happen with the landlord at my fiance's (at the time) apartment before we moved in together and didn't receive our full deposit because she was such a hag. First off, we had to move her out of that place (originally I was going to move in) because we were living in Minot, North Dakota at the time and with the huge oil boom up here living expenses get SPENDY. Anyway, she had been paying $650/mo. for a very large apartment and at the end of her lease we decided to do month-to-month for a little while. Since we weren't under contract they hiked the rent up to $2,100/MONTH!!! No one in their right mind would pay that...but apparently oil field workers (obviously not in their right mind...sorry if that offends someone...but I NOW work in the oilfield also, ironically) can afford that comfortably. We had a huge battle with the woman who owned the property because there was a management company taking care of the property for her but while we were going month-to-month she decided to take back ownership/mgmt responsibilities. Long story short, she was mad that we couldn't afford to pay the $2,100 she wanted for the place...even though she told us 2 weeks before the next month started...and we got out of there. I wrote her a lot of letters...delivered to her door...she didn't do e-mail or phone...and would receive a letter back in the mail every so often. I ended up getting about half of our deposit back but it just wasn't worth it to take her to small claims or something. Looking back on it, I wish I would have. I hope you have good luck with yours...she sounds awful! Do you live in Minot, ND by chance? haha

Who are the Jim Rice collectors around here? There is a Belle /3 with Rice and Winfield which is driving me nuts on valuation and trying to figure out if I'm up against a board member because I'm not going to jack the price up on each other all day.

First one sold for ~$55 + s/h a few months back when 2012 TTT first came out... this guy wants $120 or BO... telling me via private message that they've been declining offers under $100, which makes my head spin but I guess they have a healthy offer around $80 or something.

That's pretty messed up too but it sounds like yours was in the same boat as mine. Maybe they're sisters? lol. Fortunately no, I don't like in Minot. :p I'd be about 6ish hours south east of you in Minnesota.

Where in Minnesota are you? My wife is from Rosemount (St. Paul area) and I studied in Fargo for a few years. We're in Billings, MT now...love it out here! But then again, I'd much rather be around Rosemount or something and get myself some Twins Season Tix!

Good Morning Gents! Got a small list of chores to accomplish for the day. Should be able to finish up quick, and if I'm lucky might head to the LCS as well.

Scott - Wow man, that sounds LAME about the ex-landlord. Very best of luck with it ending as well as it can and good job keeping a cool head in those return emails.
