Good afternoon! Just got done playing soccer for the second day in a row. Its a warm 73 degrees out here in the Panhandle of Nebraska. I could get used to it being like this the rest of the year, but knoiwng where I'm at we will probably see snow still sometime this year

Howdy guys, what's up? Fiance is out apparently making last minute planning for my birthday surprises tomorrow...? So I'm watching the kids and FINALLY organizing my office since I picked up a desk the other day. Hopefully scanning up the start of the set I'm building.

What's everyone up to on this beautiful Thursday?

Got busy at work, just saw all the responses. Thanks all for your opinions.

I doubt I'd ever be able to replace the cards. I've never seen any of them again. I bought these around 2001. He's offering me more than 5X what I paid for them, probably $500 over market value. I'm balancing the 3 cards versus 7 days lakefront cabin rental in Michigan and 2 days of theme park / water park tickets, and maybe $200 left over. I love the cards, but this might be a time for me to put family first. We'll probably do the vacation regardless, but it would be sweet not to take it out of savings. I'm not rich by any means.

The offer is definitely not low-ball, it's probably better than any I could hope for. But that rainbow is one of my most proud collecting achievements - to have all 6 crusades. Really tough decision. I've never collected for profit. I'll think about it for awhile. I've heard from another dedicated player collector who has another player's rainbow, and he's seriously thinking about selling to him - as his dedication to completing the master set of Crusade prototypes is pretty impressive. I agree, and if I do decide to sell, wouldn't mind seeing them go to the guy.

One other possibility is that I sell the cards and pay for most of my dream card:

Well I just saw scans of the 2013 Topps Series One Wrapper Redemptions and I must say, they do look nice. Now I have a couple of more Span cards to chase

Just my $.02...

I would sell. When it comes down to it, it's just a glossy piece of cardboard. Might be more of them. You only get one family.

Good evening all!
Brad - It may sound cliche' but, the cards have a value, the family memories won't.
Ralph/Alexs - Enjoy the golf this weekend!:D
Taylor - The more you post about your dislike for hot weather, the more I realize you'll never knock on my door and say "Hey,Dave! I'm Taylor!":D

Anything over 60* is hot... Iowa was horrible. Thought I was actually melting at times

If I took 2 Ripken SLU's and a Bobblehead of him...all still in packaging....would that be acceptable as a lot for the high end even though they try not to do lots in there?

65 is about my limit. I make exceptions if I am going to ballgames, but most games I go to are at night.

Minnesota can get as cold as Alaska during the winter, and can get as hot as Florida in the summer, especially down here.

I'll also take a good northwoods lake over an ocean any day...
