What's the best way to put a "value" on a partial set of 1960 Topps? I've got at least 225 different and 60+ extras.

Hey folks! Just got back from shopping with wifey, and picked up a factory set of 1989 upper deck, gonna send the Griffey rookie card to BGS or PSA??? Who's better?
Meaning, which of the 2 provides a better quality of service? I.e grading, care for the product, timeliness of service?
I'll punt to guys who have more experience than me. I think there is a rule of thumb, like PSA is good for vintage and BGS is your modern card go too... Etc etc etc.
I personally LOVE the BGS slabs better. Just sturdy and much more appealing IMO.
