Seeing if these MREs I got are any good. At most of it so far, not bad! Don't know about living on them, but not bad!

Those things are a saving grace after disaster strikes. We went through a few cases of them and was thankful to have them. I had ZERO complaints with them, and enjoyed just about every different one I tried. Chili and Mac was my favorite. Wife liked the beef stew best i think?

Got two in the mail today.

The first is a player I used to watch as a kid (me, not him).

Love the Archives on-card autos:




The next one is one I have wanted for a long time, but never got around to buying. Another on-card of one of my biggest kidhood idols:

I have one more Archives auto on the way (Bake McBride) and then I will call it quits on the 2013 Archives autos.

Couple more I kinda want from past years, but no hurry on those.

Fan Favorites/Archives on-card autos are easily my favorite cards from the last few years.

I have moved almost entirely backward in terms of collecting. When I got a Frank White auto at the LCS awhile back in a pack of Archives, a few 20-somethings smugly told me that it wasn't worth anything. I told them "Au contraire!" (Was fun to see the looks on their faces when I busted out the ol' Francais.) I would rather have a nice on-card auto of a player I used to watch as a kid than an auto of the latest flavor of the month who wasn't even born when I bought the shirt I am wearing right now. As we all know, cards are "worth" whatever the owner feels that they are worth.

I don't collect any current players at all. I still occasionally watch the game, but don't follow the standings/players very closely.

Fifteen minutes later I horked it up all over Yosemite Valley. :|

Again, the similarities are uncanny. I own one pair of jeans that haven't worn in 3+ years. The only time I wear long pants is to work. It got down to the 20's last January and I still wore shorts, much to Bobbie's dismay. I also have one jacket that has kept the same hangar warm for several Florida winters.
