Good Morning Gents! Had a great time yesterday. Lunch was great and big thanks to [MENTION=8688]U L Washington Rookie[/MENTION] for treating Ken and I to my first Chicago deep dish pizza 
I got a few cards for the PC already and will have a scan post once I return home. Hoping to make a deal for a nice National Treasures card today so it will all depend on the dealer facing reality on the price. I got a good deal on this card which I didn't expect to see there:

I love that movie. Some of that movies was filmed on Mannheim Rd which is right by the Natty by the way.
Mother fracker it is pouring here right now. I hope it is not raining when I get to Rosemont. Since I'll be parking in the CTA lot and that can be a long wet walk lol

Morning all.
Nice afternoon at the National yesterday. I missed the MT lunch since my boss needed something right when I was about to leave, so didn't get over to Rosemont until 1:00. But had a nice 5 hours checking it all out. My favorite item was Eddie Gaedal's bat - he was the midget that had one at bat. His bat was only an inch or two longer than those little souvenir bats the sell at the stadium. Pretty funny!
My purchases were a 1934 Diamond Matchbook - Orange (Rabbit Maranville), 4 Mark Grace souvenir photo buttons, 11 misc. $2 GU/numbered inserts for $20, 4 Vladimir Guerrero Game Used for $10 total, a 1950 Callahan Cap Anson for $3, and 2 Chicago Vine Line magazines with Grace on the cover. I got a few cards in the FCB event last night too. And my biggest purchase was commissioning artist Brian Kong to do a color sketch card of Grace. Kong is well known for doing Topps Sketch cards, including the mini-rip 1/1 sketches in 2013 Allen & Ginter. His sketches looked great, and the card will be on a special 2013 National cardstock - he was doing 100 total cards for this year's National.
Had a nice time at dinner last night, with Alex and Gilmo and crew. Deep dish pizza and Goose Island beer to wash it down. Great way to spend a day!
