Dave and Scott- You guys are welcome. It was a lot of fun for me too. I will be doing a couple of more soon (hopefully this weekend), but they will just be regular contests not Lets Make a Deal style.

Alex- I heard that. It's nice to see so many people in here though. Lots of good information and discussion. How far have you made it on that music list? My buddy and I have made it to F. We've made a pretty decent list of remakes that we like so far.

rdg- Good morning. It's always nice to see that sig.

So far I just got done with B...its been a slow movement on that. I got back into improving my solo abilities on the guitar lately so I have been studying the theory of Avenged Sevenfold and Thin Lizzy...both bands have incredible harmonized leads and guitar solos and makes jamming along with the CD's VERY fun. It amazes me what music I have on CD when listing to the A-Z list though. Do you remember Autograph from the A list? Steve Lynch is their lead guitar player and I studied and was taught by him my first 2 years of playing. Some of the best licks have definitely come from that era :D

That's awesome man, pretty neat story. Good luck with the guitar. I am a big fan of the guitar and it can make the difference between a good song and a great song. It's cool that you play. I play a little drums and that's about it. Put me on a piano and I can play you Twinkle, Twinkle or Mary Had a Little Lamb too.

Autograph has some solid guitar work. That does sound like a lot of fun jamming along with your cds. Cool stuff.

Thanks Joe!!! It definitely keeps it fun. When I first started lessons I was 14 and had NO clue who Autograph was. My mom chose Steve Lynch because he was the "cuter" one from the 3 teachers she was looking into. He is VERY well known for his 2 handed tapping routines away from his band. I dink around on the drums too, but I sound like a pro when I do it with Rockband  Any song on the piano is a great song...atleast its a recognizable tune

Nice. Do you write your own songs too?

ALWAYS!!!! That is my most favorite thing to do. I consistantly write atleast 1 new song on acoustic per week (the fiance LOVES it  ) and I do my best to develope a new riff/scale exercise each day

The left one is an Ibanez exotic ash wood series...only 2000 made. Picked it up with some birthday and christmas cash. Got a sweet deal with a green velveted hard case for $750. I actually used to have a banjo that I traded in 2 years ago for a Line 6 practice amp

Awesome! Got anything we can hear?! :) My brother is/was an excellent musician for many years, excellent guitarist and vocalist, wrote his own songs, tunes, everything. Sort of a John Denver/folk musician. Love to hear original music :D

Hahahaha...I think its the transfer of music onto the computer that makes it challenging. I have a digital 8 track (no...not the old school tape player  ) that definitely makes the recording part very easy. I'll let you know when I have something to show ;) I look forward to the challenge

Alex- I would like to hear some of your stuff too. If you don't mind, shoot me a pm or e-mail about the digital 8 track. I'm not the best on computers, but I have been looking for something that would be easy to use so that I can record. My e-mail is [email protected]. Only if you don't mind though.

Good morning pgh. A 5 day weeekend is always nice.

Joe - it would be my most greatest pleasure!!! Let me do a little research over today and tomorrow. I have an extra day off tomorrow so I will try to find some good stuff to get you a good head start both price wise and user wise. There is LOTS of stuff out there and with technology as it is the prices are becoming much more affordable  What I like best about mine is that I don't use it THROUGH the computer. All recordings are captured onto zip disks (tells you how old it is now  ) and then I try my best to move the sounds onto my PC from there (thats where the challenge is). I know for a fact the newer model of the 8 track I have now burns onto CD versus zipdisk which makes the transfering SOOOOO much easier.

Scottie - Whats up buddy? Always nice to see you drop in!!!

Pghbuccos - I am jealous  Have a great almost week off...hope you do something fun!!!

Scotty- What's up buddy? Late start to the day?

Alex- I appreciate it. No great rush though. Whenever you have the time is fine. I have tried a couple of different programs before and some of them are pretty difficult. I need user friendly baby!  Or something so easy, muskiesfan can do it.

Hahaha   I totally hear you there...I'm the same way with needing things at my finger tips to be user friendly. Why have recording hold you back from what you can make your sounds sound like (that sounds weird  )...you will be AMAZED at what there is though ;)
