Morning all! Made some progress on my collection organizer application last night! Managed to load all of the vintage topps sets from 1952 to 1981 into my own database so I can track the cards I have and auto-generate want-lists in excel. Now I am working on some slick sorting/filtering and photo viewing features. Fun stuff!

Just poured myself a cup! Turned in the grant yesterday!!!!!

Morning George. Congrats on finishing it! How long you been working on it? I know i've seen you post a few times about it.

Took me about a week to research, write, have the red pen explode on it, and re-write. First one I have ever done, the boss said my version would get funded but the edited version is much better :lol: , I agree. He is a Georgetown Law grad and Virginia PhD...so he writes well. Last grant he wrote has gotten two of us funded during the coming summer, whew!

I'm slowly working on adding Billy and Fergie to my PC. I've got 16 Billy's and 1 Fergie so far.

Lately, I've often been able to pick up Billy Williams autos & patches for less than Dawson atuff.

Wow George...that is a lot of work, glad it sounds like it gets you going in the right direction. Your pen exploding reminds me of one of a few embarassing moments in school (made a fool out of myself a lot so it takes something special to embarass me :lol: ): I was chewing on my "lucky" pen durning a pep assembly. There was a huge beach ball being punched around the bleachers, me being me decides to go for the headbutt but instead of headbutting the ball I headbutted the fist sitting below me causing me to bite down and choke on my "lucky" pen causing me to choke for a quick moment, ink spilled all inside and over my mouth and clothes, then I lose balance and fall down the bleacher steps to the bottom...about 9 rows total. I jumped up with my hands in the air showing I'm okay and I can laugh it off and the rest was Federal Way High School history :lol: Sorry for the long read...coffee is making me feel weird this morning :lol:

...my sentiments exactly- lost the love for College sports once I started working in college adminsitration for a "real" school. Big time college sports are a hypocrisy (sp?).......

Its great to see there are others who can laugh at their own expense. Great trait to have in my opinion...
