Ah damn I think I just saw Halley's Comet... :shock:
I'm pretty excited, we've been chatting for a couple weeks, and this is the first time we are meeting.

the Pirates lost 5-0 to the 'Stros.

the Red Sox won after a nerve racking 9th. Wakefield became the first pitcher with 11 wins this season and Big Papi hit his 10th home run. after his horrible start it is good to see Ortiz at 10 hr's.

for any hockey fans in the morning thread Joe Sakic is announcing his retirement today. he played for the same franchise during his entire career (Quebec/Colorado). he is lock for the HOF and will be missed by the game and it's fans.

Dan - No kidding. I know its going to fly by too...luckily I will still have 38 hours of vacation left when I get back until October...then I gain my 4 weeks back :mrgreen: By the way...both Jen and I thank you for your works of wisdom about where not to go

...thanks Alex, been quite busy- work, life, coaching my kids.....I'll be 43 within a couple of weeks and will have been married for 18 years within 3 weeks.

Good luck with your impending nuptuals (sp?, not sure I have ever used that word before :lol: )

Morning guys! Hope the morning is going well. Just trying to get some work done before the crew wakes up.

Dave- Joe Sakic is a class act. Always thought he was a great player and a nice guy. I loved the Wings/Avalanche rivalry in the 90's And saw many games with he and Stevie Y pitted against each other. Good memories.

Alex- enjoy these last few days leading up to your big day. Very happy for you. Sounds like you're looking forward to married life! That's a great start.

The sun is out in Maine today...we've had rain for most of the spring and early summer. Temps have been very comfy (50's/60's and not muggy at all) but I think the state is now swamp......beware of the bird-sized mosquitos that I expect to see this weekend......
