Alex, I didn't get to watch that one. I saw Mr 3,000, and one with Keanu Reeves, I forgot the name of it but it was a decent movie.

Scott(Mainemule), good luck on the LL tourny.

Morning boys. Not much here today. I'll spend the next 2-3 hours packing out the A&G auctions that ended last night. Made the case back, so I'm extra happy.

Did not see how you did for Autos and rips?[/quote:23rws7rq]

I got 8 autos, which is apparently a lot - a local guy ripped two cases and got 9 total. I still have the Longoria and Art Pennington (***** Leaguer) autos that didn't get offers. I ripped the Dye /50, and got the Pujols mini, so that wasn't too bad. All in all, a success.
And, I have forced willpower, because my wife and I, and my brother and his wife all leave for Vegas on Sunday, which leaves me no time to buy, rip, and list another case, and by the time I get back, singles prices will have softened, so I can't talk myself into a second case. Win-win.

Alex - every time I see/hear "Work, work, work" I think of that scene in Blazing Saddles. I wanted to post a different picture, but, well, cleavage and rules and such.

A Jeff N. sighting in the MT?

Holy crap.

How's life Jeff? You ready for Ibanez to get back on the field for the Phils, put you guys back at full strength?

I know for my fantasy team, they would LOVE for Hamels to get back to the form he had last year (and Lidge for that matter too).[/quote:e8ly8pla]

We were doing pretty well the past 8-9 games without RAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUL, but I'm happy to have him back.

Worried about the pitching rotation... Waiting for the wheels to fall off of Happ and Moyer -- feel good about Blanton, worried that Hamels is going to have an arm injury -- something's wrong there, and we don't have a 5th pitcher.

Smoke and mirrors so far. That, and 4 guys with 20+ HRs.

As for Lidge, he sold his soul last year, I fully expect some residual suckitude this year.[/quote:e8ly8pla]

Well, if they pull off the Halladay trade (seems all sources are pointing to the Phillies as THE team that could/should land him), that should definitely help stabilize the rotation.

And, as an Astros fan, I do not feel bad whatsoever about the season Lidge is having. He had two great seasons for us then fell apart after Pujols homered off of him.

I too believe there is something wrong with Hamels. Though, I think it is more likely to be just a dead arm then anything. If they don't pull off a trade for Halladay, why not call up Drabek or Carrasco, maybe let them build up some confidence by letting the get a few spot starts against the Nationals, Mets, Pirates, *gulp* Astros or Padres?

George - Hopefully there is always "next time"...what did you miss out on?? My weekend was good...work flew by, the fiance's family all got into town, I have a little more work to do on Jen's wedding song I will be performing for her and then its smooth sailing!!!

Scott - Congrats on another win!!! You're kids team sounds like the Rays of last year  Have a great start to your week bud.

Steve - Have a blast leaving before me. Me and the almost-bride will be in Orlando from the 18th-26th  How about yourself??

Art - Those are great movies as well...tons to choose from. A couple weeks ago I watched Rookie of the Year which was pretty fun and "old school''.

KC - How does the Pennington look?? I may be interested if you have it available...Have a blast in Vegas too. As for the cleavage and rules and such...my lip is being bit right now

Good morning guys. I had a blast last weekend. One of my buddies came into town and we partied hard at the Astros games all weekend. Gonna take me a day or so to recover from that one! :D

Good morning from the corn fields of Iowa!!! :D Had a great family reunion. Saw my brother and he is doing well. Treatments are going well, so we are lucky to have him around with us for hopefully a long long time.

George, if it's your birthday, then Happy Birthday!!! :D Have a great day! Hope you do something fun.

Won my 10th platinum last night, so I made my goal!!! Pretty excited. And, worked out a deal before we left on vacation for another card for the set. Details when payments are made! ;)

Ok guys, have a great day. 8-hour trip ahead of us today. Ugh. So I'll see ya'll in tomorrow's MT.

I tweaked the banner a little more, but I think I still
need a whole lotta practice, and maybe some advice from Dave

Happy B-day George!

Alex, I know exactly what you're going through waiting for the anticipation to end. The closer you get the more you'll just want it to be over with. Just make sure you enjoy it. I felt the same way and then when it was over I didn't want to leave. It was a GREAT time!
