Charlie - Not much bud...nice busy day at work. We have been renewing all the hardware server wise so we have accounts crashing left and right today. Easy stuff...good ole' remapping of network drives and rebooting but it gets old fast :lol: I think it is safe to say I am earning my weekend. Ah well. Good with the bad, I guess. Only a couple of problems around town today so I am actually done for the day before 1 o'clock. I may get a call later, but, if not, I was limited to a computer having a corrupted hard drive at a car dealership and some laptops having their regional settings changed by children at a school.
Now - I just wait and hope no one calls. LOL!

"Morning" gents.
I've been trying not to be too whiny, but Riley Hospital put me OVER THE TOP today.
First off let me tell you all of my experiences there. First I get there and they tell me they will probably be breaking both femurs and both tibias and fibulas. We thought they were doing both femurs and one tib/fib. So I go in and they poke me with this huge IV like four times before it goes in..I wake up after surgery and MY LEGS ARE HANGING OFF THE BED BY ABOUT FOUR-SIX INCHES. ugh..so for hours they say "there's nothing we can do" until one of my parents says "can't you extend it or SOMETHING?!?!?!?!" so the nurse was like "Oh yeah! We CAN extend it!" Wow. Hours of unnecessary pain. The nurse pulls out the extension but it's about six inches underneath where the edge of the bed itself is, so we have to put two pillows on top of each other on the extension to make it even with the bed. We then had to stack more pillows to make it to where my legs were actually propped up instead of laying flat. Problem solved, right? NO.
Oh yeah, did I mention they only did my right femur and left tib/fib? Oh, you didn't know? Neither did I.
The ever-smart medical world and their stupid shifting air mattresses shift to wherever the least amount of your weight is, so the bed raised itself on the back of my upper thighs. They were not touching the bed because my legs were propped up and that portion of my thigh (which is broken on my right leg) was suspended in the air at the time. The mattress raises up to compensate about every 30 seconds and let me tell you it hurt like a you-know-what. It caused me lots of pain and allowed me literally ZERO sleep while I was there.
Well yesterday I had a hematoma above my left knee and I have thrush in my mouth and throat so I went to the doctor. He was FURIOUS that I wasn't in surgery, especially after seeing that my right leg is all crooked and whatnot. My right leg is straight until you get to the knee, but from the knee down it's bent outward at about a 25 degree angle. The doctor who did my surgery said it's either from the immense swelling in that hip Or he overrotated it...the only way that could be corrected is, yup, ANOTHER surgery.
While I was in the hospital, I was on a big dose of morphine when a lady pretty much picked me up and put me in a wheelchair. They reported this to the doctor that did my surgery as an "independent transfer"..so we call today to set up some physical therapy and they tell me I don't need any because I could transfer myself independently from my wheelchair to my bed. They want either no physical therapy or my parents to drive me back up there for a re-evaluation to see if the doctor sees the need to order therapy. I guess I'm not having therapy. From now on, that Dr. (not going to name names) can suck on my jewels. He's never touching me again.

Dan - I cannot wait for the Bears season to start in earnest, so we can see what Cutler can really do.
Anthony - I would NOT hesitate to have your parents contact an attorney on your behalf.
I know that as a society we have become way too letigious, but that sounds ridiculous!

Hey guys, checking in pretty late today.
Got a nice RC mailday today. 83 Topps Sandberg, Boggs and Gwynn and 85 Topps Clemens, Puckett and McGwire.
Pretty happy about that, as it adds more depth to my rookie card PC, plus I plan on getting these graded sometime, hand them down to my son, ya know?

Chas/Dan- heck yeah! Seeing the Bills win on Saturday against the Bears was encouraging. They have installed the old K-Gun no-huddle offense this year. Can't wait to see it in action. I'm hoping to make it to the December Bills/Chiefs game in KC. We'll see.
