Good morning.
Dave, when you babysit a server, do you read it stories and play hide-and-seek with it? How does that work?

Back in school this morning. My cat was doing anything it could to make sure I didn't sleep last night, so I'm beat.

Since my web server is hosted in Wisconsin, all I can do is cuss and shake my fist at the computer screen. Oh and an occasional head pound on the table.

She's unreal some nights. Last night was one of them. She just pokes me in the mouth with one claw...

Back to work...(shudder).

Will have to keep a notebook this semester of the weird things students say to me. There have been some very odd comments/questions in the past. I have gotten really good at keeping a straight face.

I am exhausted today. I spent a lot of time at the hospital yesterday, into this morning. My best friend and his mom had to take his grandfather to the emergency room yesterday. He has a multitude of health problems including Alzheimer's. He's been doing poorly the last couple of weeks. So they noticed what appeared to be shingles and took him to the hospital. The suspicions were confirmed that he has shingles, but they also found something else. He has stomach cancer. I'm waiting to hear how things are going this morning. When I left the hospital, they were saying that they think that they might be able to remove all of the cancer with surgery. However, they're not sure if he can live through the surgery. They admitted him to the hospital and at some point in time today, I'll probably be heading back up there.

I apologize, I'm not trying to put a damper on anyone's day or anything. These people are like family to me, so it's tough. It's been hard enough watching his grandfather start really slipping the last few years with the Alzheimer's.
