Still gives me chills, Dave. Not to get too nostalgic, but it meant a lot more for me. My dad had died a year earlier unexpectedly in 2003. He was a lifelong Red Sox fan, and I still remember his disappointment in the 1986 loss and having never seen them win it all over the years. So it was bittersweet that they won it in 2004. I loaned my DVD to my brother and he loaned it to someone else and I never got it back. ::facepalm:: :x

Kinda similar feelings I have about the Angels winning in 2002.

My mom had been a fan of the Angels my whole life. She passed away in 1998 and never got to see the Angels win a World Series. Very emotional when they won the whole thing in 2002!

I got the book Faithful by Stephen King and Stewart O'Nan on cassette and listened to that over the course of a few months in the car. Terrific recap of the entire 2004 season. Highly recommend.
