Hey Dan. I am getting rid of this. If you want it, it's yours.

Dan- While it won't be as fun as "What's in Josh's closet" because I can't do a live broadcast, would you like to see a couple of things from "What Joe has found from the attic so far"?

None of this is going to be mind bottling (Will Ferrell reference) or anything, so please, don’t expect much.

We’ll start with these. The scratches are on the cases. The cards are fine.

I do apologize if this ends up being a let down. Like I said, there is nothing super special here, just some neat stuff in my opinion. I have other stuff that I will have to take pictures of instead of scans.

Next post, we will move out of cards.

Fun stuff Joe!!

These were my 3 best hits from 2 boxes of Threads. I ended up with 10 hits instead of 8.
I've seen some boxes yield 3 and some 7, so a whole case should balance out well.

The other 7 hits were a Kurt Russell swatch and 6 rookie autos.

Now we move on to a box of stamps I found. Sorry for the size of the scans, I just didn’t want them to be huge.

First up are some Babe Ruth stamps
Stamps1.jpg

Next is a set of stamps that says “Baseball’s Hall of Fame Dream Team” (L to R, T to B): Lou Gehrig, Rogers Hornsby, Mike Schmidt, Honus Wagner, Ty Cobb, Roberto Clemente, Babe Ruth, Johnny Bench, and Tom Seaver
Stamps2.jpg

Next is a sheet of Nolan Ryan
Stamps3.jpg

Next is an error and corrected sheet. (L to R, T to B): Roberto Clemente, Cal Ripken Jr., Bob Feller, George Bell, Mark McGwire, Alvin Davis, U.S. Baseball Series 1, Dan Quisenberry, and Babe Ruth
Stamps4.jpg

The bottom sheet has Pete Rose in the bottom left hand corner which was a no-no. These came out after Pete was banned and the stamps were licensed by MLB, so Pete should never have been on the stamps.

Next is a package with 8 sheets of stamps in it. I slid the top sheet a little so you could see the other colors behind it. Here is who is on the first sheet (L to R, T to B): Gary Carter, Hank Aaron, Gaylord Perry, Ty Cobb, Andre Dawson, Charlie Hough, Kirby Puckett, Robin Yount, and Don Drysadale. The other sheets have different players on them.
Stamps6.jpg

Next is a sheet that has some 1989 rookies on it mixed with some greats. (L to R, T to B): Bob Milacki, Babe Ruth, Jim Abbott, Gary Sheffield, Gregg Jefferies, Kevin Brown, Cris Carpenter, Johnny Bench, and Ken Griffey Jr.
Stamps5.jpg

I have 9 sheets that say U.S. Baseball Series 2 on them with other players (I didn’t scan any of those) and a couple of other Babe Ruth stamps.

I apologize for the long post.

Very cool stuff, Joe!!

I bought a few baseball stamps earlier this year. Never seen the Dawson on a full sheet. Very cool!

The last thing for now. I thought this was pretty cool. It’s a tri-fold, so I apologize for the scans being crooked. It was difficult to scan.

Front: Hall of Fame Legends in First Day Covers

Back

When you first open it up, on the left hand side you have:
Covers2.jpg

Babe Ruth

Then in the middle (which also opens up) you have this picture:
Printed HOF Plaques
Covers3.jpg

Then once that is opened, the one in the middle is
Covers4.jpg

Lou Gehrig

Then, on the right you have
Covers5.jpg

Ty Cobb

It’s a very neat looking item. I may snap a couple of pics of it showing how it opens and everything. The other stuff will have to have pics taken because they can’t be scanned. Once again, nothing major. I’ll try to get some pics up today or tomorrow.
