Dave (w)- Yes, if he didn't play for the Bengals, I would probably not collect him. :lol: There's a bit more to it than that honestly. I was impressed by him when he was playing for USC. The way he plays the game is impressive. He has a lot of heart, drive, and determination and he really gets after it when he's on the field. I kept telling people I thought he was going to be a stud in the NFL. I really expected him to be a 1st Round pick, but he had a bad showing at the Combine and slipped to the 2nd Round. Everyone thought Cleveland was going to take him and I was glad they didn't. It would have been tough having to play against him twice a year. When he fell to the Bengals, I was ecstatic. As soon as we drafted him, I knew I wanted to try and put together a collection of him.

Sorry for being so long winded, but that's the story. Sorry you asked, huh? :lol:

I also thought that with this being his rookie year that it would be a little easier to come across cards. As a LB, he won't get featured as much as offensive players in the future, but he will definitely have some nice RCs. Starting the collection now will hopefully make it easier than waiting until he's been in the league 5 years (or so I hope). :lol:

Charlie - I agree on Ovation...too many redemptions to make it feel like a decent price. Ultimate would be fun but only strong/weak on the pulls. Artifacts would be nice for the price...dirt cheap with 20 boxes that have 3 hits apiece. Nice 1/1's if the case is lucky enough to have one. I believe the Griffeys and Jeters may be expired redemptions though...that or the Ripkens.
