Just want to say Hi to everyone and Wish everyone here a Very Good Thanksgiving!

Bruce - My Prayers are with you and your Daughter as I know she will be fine but always scary when your child is running a fever. My son when thru the same thing a week after school started but he got thru it. We still had him take his shots after the fact (School set up a day to have Kids get their shots) just to give him a better chance to not catch anything new.
Joe- My Prayers are also with you. As said earlier I always do not like to hear people losing their jobs and I wish your Girlfriend Luck! We have 2 neighbors selling their homes because they lost their Jobs. Really sad especially since you have know them for years and years.

So is everyone happy with what they were able to find for their SS? Or did some people have to settle?
Overall, I am happy with what I was able to find. Don't know how others feel,
but I went with a quantity of nice cards over 1 HUGE card.

There was 1 specific card from a set that I wasn't able to find, so in a way,
I did have to "settle" somewhat for another card from the same set.

I am quite pleased with what I found....hope the receiver is equally, or even more, excited!!

I do feel bad for whomever got stuck buying for me though- I can be a PITA to buy for....

I went with 1 nice card, a few other add ins, and a lot of other stuff that I have been picking up for past 2-3 months that should make them happy. Hopefully

I am satisfied with what I found. I was able to fill in from his wants, but he has one major type of card that I couldn't manage to pull off. Once he knows who he is, I'll have to apologize, because that item is the number one thing I really wanted to get for him.

#1: any food with the word "turd" in it doesn't sound too appetizing.

#2: T-Day shopping complete! :)

#3: Very happy with my SS purchases. I think my victim will be happy. BTW, are we keeping it anonymous even after gifts are opened or revealing who sent them?

I am trying to come up with a clever way for my victim to surmise who it's from after opening the package.
Whether or not I can actually pull that off remains to be seen.

Anyone ever have hamloaf?
Where's the ::shiver up my spine:: smilie?

When doing Archaeology in W. Illinois we stay at a hunting lodge. W. Illinois is known for Pigs and Deers, so the lodge owner loves to serve Hamloaf, not bad the first time but once a week or left-overs, ah yeah.

Was just doing some Bay searching myself.

Can't believe this is the highest seller from the set so far.

Here is something that made me laugh - read first, look second:

This is the true story of a Garage Owner in Dominican Republic (Santiago).

He was sick and tired of thugs breaking into his garage shop to steal tools, etc.

So he came up with this idea.

He put the word out that he had a new Dominican Lion that would attack

anyone that would break in or climb his fence.

Would-be thieves saw the "Lion" from a distance and fled the scene.

Back from my abbreviated workday and getting ready to head to the Post office. My SS giftee didn't have a very detailed wantlist, so I did a little investigative work and came up with some pretty good stuff. We shall see.

By the way, hamloaf actually sounds pretty good to me!
