I have often wondered just how many un-opened boxes/case/incredible cards
are just sitting in some OCD packrats basement somewhere.

Think about it. Between that possibility, plus distributors, D&A, Blowout, etc.
how many friggin outstanding supers, 1/1s, patches, autos, et al will never see
the light of day?

I could probably see their collections sometime if I asked them, but frankly I already know.......

Case in point...my example b of the thrifty guy...

Buys one box of 2006 Fleer Tradition (he is working on the master base set, inserts, and game Jerseys and is about half way done) and 4th pack in hits the 89 Fleer Griffey Buyback Auto----his exact response..

"Wow, I dont think I have that one.....will go with my other Griffey AUTOs."

I ask him--that is a great pull, are you going to sell it..

"Nope, I only sell my doubles, it will sit in the binder with my other griffey autos"

Are you kidding me, it makes me wonder what else he has pulled just laying around in binders. At one point he had almost every base set and non-rare sp set near complete from about 1980 up from ALL manufacturers.....

Obviously I am not saying he has the 1993 Finest Refractor Set or a complete set of Donruss Crusades...but the basic stuff, and I bet your ass he has a bunch of Crusades sitting in binders that he pulled...

Yowza :ugeek: I have been reading Hertzfeld for my Scope of Cultural Anth class, also reading an ethnography by Fabian.

ATM, trying to rework my thesis proposal. I need to finish it really soon and get it approved so I can sign up for thesis hours in the Spring. I have been feeling burnout so bad this semester. I am so close to the end, but sometimes its hard to motivate myself.

Back from being out most of the day.

Proud new owner of a dehumidifier for up stairs. :? Just what a freekin wanted. Hopefully it will drop the humidity enough that we wont get damp spots in the corners with the new paint in the living room. A few spots started to appear this morning but went away after running the furnace and opening the window in front.

Max's school meeting went well.

Julie was nice enough to get me a blaster of Stadium Club at Target that was 1/2 off when we went shopping after we dropped Max off at school.
