Since the subject of snow is a recurring theme today, here is my most vivid memory of snow from my childhood, the blizzard of '77. I was 6 and remember walking on branches of the trees on front of my house from the snow banks. The branches were usually 7 to 8 feet up. This vid is long but has some great pictures. The audio is boring and unneccessary, so tunr off your speakers if you watch it.

so today I received a message through eBay from a seller requesting that I leave positive feedback for a card I had yet to receive. the card was in my mailbox when I got home but seriously at least wait a day or two before requesting positive feedback.

I dont get it, I have never asked for feedback

If I'm the buyer, I delete the item after I recieve it and leave feedback. If I'm the seller, I usually leave feedback after the item is paid for, wait about 10 days then delete the item. I too never request feedback.

I was just watching the '58 World Series (on MLBN) and noticed that in old Yankee Stadium and Milwaukee Stadium the starting pitchers warmed up (before the game) off a pitching mound (or a flat area with a pitching rubber) just to the right and left of home plate, throwing towards the backstop. I did a double-take as I had never ever seen video of that before. Was that the norm way back then??

Hey Scott, not sure of the answer to your question, but I have seen the warmup area in strange places in the past. One park (not sure which one) had a little area that was actually in the outfield stands! There was a covered gallery where they warmed up which was literally behind the last row of seats, on the same level. When a pitcher was called in, he would walk down the steps and walk through a little gate in the outfield wall. Saw a picture once, but you know how memory can be...
