I'm not sure I share your optimism but wishing him good luck. Does he have any good looking cards in a Sox uni?

I see just Alomar being elected
Just a gut feeling, but I don't see Alomar getting in on 1 ballot.

Dawson has a few decent game used/auto Sawx cards, mostly from 2004.
This is the only one I have. Most are pretty short-printed.

This is probably the nicest one he has, which used to be owned by a certain member of the MT.

Nice cards!!

Andre was a better all-around player than many in the HOF, a true 5 tool player when healthy. Should be interesting to see how it all lands.

Here's a link to "most" of the cards that I got in that big trade over on the BMB. He missed sending a few of the cards and was wrong about which version a few others were. Should get another package from him soon.

Morning all,

Happy Birthday, Adam!

Have some errands today and some applications to fill out.

The Garage of Doom still awaits. It is beginning to rebel, though: the washing machine died yesterday. My theory is that the garage killed it as a warning to me...

....you'll appreciate this.......my middle son is addicted to Facebook. New household rule.....computer time now dictated by how much free reading he does.........so what does he start reading over the weekend..........."White Fang!!" Been many years since I read it so I will be reading it when he is done......thought of you, of course ;)

YES! Indoctrinating the youth!

He will enjoy "my" book. "Call of the Wild" is his most widely known title, but "White Fang" is a personal favorite of mine. Very satisfying ending is all I will say, so as not to ruin the story for either of you. Will be interested in hearing your take when you both finish it. :)

....do you think I should re-read Call prior to White Fang? I likely last read it circa 1977......

[quote="Resident Piazza Fan":17qrdjho]Thanks George. Not really sure what I'm doing with it yet. Still not really sure what it is, but rookieaddict thinks I can get some of that moola stuff for it, lol.

Morning Andrew. Did you see my post yesterday about getting your package in the mail on Sat.?

No, I didn't; glad it got there safe and sound in the snow, Art!

Well, just wanted to make sure you knew I got it, and wanted to say thank you very much. I've never seen any of those Microverse things before. It's very much appreciated.[/quote:17qrdjho]

I forgot about the Microverse. They are definitely "different", and I almost gave it away until I saw that Piazza was part of the set. I picked it up and thought, "Hey. Art might like this weird thing."

Uh oh, now you done it, Scott! You asked my opinion on a Jack London issue!

The two books can be seen as separate entities. I think it might be interesting to read them one after the other to compare the themes, though.

Call has a theme about the necessity of being true to one's self. White Fang is more about joining together with others; essentially, giving up part of one's self to become "more" as a part of society.

With that being said, I ALWAYS suggest that people read both of those titles. For comparison sake, I think it might be a cool choice to start with Call and then read White Fang.

Very nice haul Art!! Piazza and Bay both have a TON of cards out there.

Just to help you keep things straight though, I think the Xtra Bases is the Red version /150. The Purple is /100. :D

Hey guys, I'm finally caught up on all my emails - actually I just went through them and deleted all the junk, I didn't read anything though. I'm feeling like crap and wishing this day would go by quicker.

Chas, little slow on the draw, that would have been funny prior to my post; still holiday sluggish?

How is O after the 4 month shots?

Thanks Charlie. Guess I'll have to speak with our newest mod over this one. I got it from him on COMC. Now I gotta go back and rename that card in all the different places I have. ::facepalm:: I do however, thank you for the heads up.

Actually she was great. Needed a little Tylenol the 1st night, but that was it.

Unfortunately, she only got 3/4 shots because they were out of stock on 1.

She has to go get it this week and it was the most painful one last time. I
forget which shot it is, but I guess it burns the leg muscle after it goes in. :?

Yeah, even at 2 months she stopped crying as soon as I picked her up.

The next few nights after that though, she had trouble going to sleep and I could tell her leg was bothering her. :(

Must be a different doctor thing, Dan. Ours was...

2 mo) 4 shots and a liquid drink

4 mo) 4 shots and a liquid drink

Never had any leg problems. For us it was just fever during night hours.

Have any of you guys had any issues with "my ebay"? I had about 10 items that I've won, two I need to pay for and none of them are showing up. I don't know what's going on with it.
