Just a gut feeling, but I don't see Alomar getting in on 1 ballot.

Dawson has a few decent game used/auto Sawx cards, mostly from 2004.
This is the only one I have. Most are pretty short-printed.

This is probably the nicest one he has, which used to be owned by a certain member of the MT.

Andre was a better all-around player than many in the HOF, a true 5 tool player when healthy. Should be interesting to see how it all lands.

Happy Birthday, Adam!

Have some errands today and some applications to fill out.

The Garage of Doom still awaits. It is beginning to rebel, though: the washing machine died yesterday. My theory is that the garage killed it as a warning to me... :shock:

....you'll appreciate this.......my middle son is addicted to Facebook. New household rule.....computer time now dictated by how much free reading he does.........so what does he start reading over the weekend..........."White Fang!!" Been many years since I read it so I will be reading it when he is done......thought of you, of course :lol:

YES! Indoctrinating the youth!

He will enjoy "my" book. "Call of the Wild" is his most widely known title, but "White Fang" is a personal favorite of mine. Very satisfying ending is all I will say, so as not to ruin the story for either of you. Will be interested in hearing your take when you both finish it.

....do you think I should re-read Call prior to White Fang? I likely last read it circa 1977......

I forgot about the Microverse. They are definitely "different", and I almost gave it away until I saw that Piazza was part of the set. I picked it up and thought, "Hey. Art might like this weird thing." :lol:

Uh oh, now you done it, Scott! You asked my opinion on a Jack London issue!

The two books can be seen as separate entities. I think it might be interesting to read them one after the other to compare the themes, though.

Call has a theme about the necessity of being true to one's self. White Fang is more about joining together with others; essentially, giving up part of one's self to become "more" as a part of society.

With that being said, I ALWAYS suggest that people read both of those titles. For comparison sake, I think it might be a cool choice to start with Call and then read White Fang.

Actually she was great. Needed a little Tylenol the 1st night, but that was it.

Unfortunately, she only got 3/4 shots because they were out of stock on 1.

She has to go get it this week and it was the most painful one last time. I
forget which shot it is, but I guess it burns the leg muscle after it goes in. :?

The next few nights after that though, she had trouble going to sleep and I could tell her leg was bothering her.
