Just looking at the checklist for Fleer Platinum. Wth is the difference between the rack boxes and hobby boxes?

I opened some hobby boxes, and I remember the packs were different thicknesses or something like that. I shouldn't even be talking cuz it was so long ago, but I think that was just it, the difference in size was how many cards were in it. Seems like there were decoys in the thicker packs.

Thanks Dave! Me too.

Ok, so I am looking in my big beckett and am not seeing rack pack odds for GU Jerseys and patches while autos are specifically mentioned with rack pack odds of 1/pack. What kind of odds are we looking at on GU, because if we're going on strictly autos then 2 teams are going to be big winners while the rest... well...

When you include patches, though, you get some guys with nice patches that don't have autos.

Morning all,

Hearing about the dead furnace sounds like our washing machine which went kablooey the other day. Forgot just how much fun it is to go to the laundromat.

We piled several baskets of clothes into the Camry and trundled them off to a charming establishment called "Launderland". Ah, Launderland: a magical realm of noise, annoying children and positively frightening adults.

We crammed as much as we could fit into three machines and let fly. A couple of plusses (pluses?): the loads only took about 30 minutes AND we got to see a boy and girl get into a brawl. At one point, the girl took off her shoes and drubbed the hapless lad on his back, neck, and, with a loud THWACK!, right on the mug. I, as every single member of the MT would do, proceeded to hoot with laughter. Evidently, the mother thought I was out of line, glaring at me as she landed into each kid with an empty laundry basket. Ah, good times. Can't wait til tomorrow when we return for round two. :D

I was just looking around on Beckett.com too. It seems like there are many more g/u than autos in the set.
Looks like 124 unique g/u, and 75 unique autos. I don't know how those fall though, because the rack box
info just says 4 autos per box. Some of the teams def. will be duds though as in every break. The Cubs for
example have 14 g/u but only 1 auto.

I'd be completely surprised if the first pick didn't go with the Cardinals.[/quote:2dx9dqjm]

Yes, the first 5-7 picks should be interesting to see if people chase the other big cards. Pujols is nice but there are several others that I forgot about in the set. There is at least the chance for a HUGE hit for the first rounds of teams if people choose wisely.

I was surprisd there was more interest for this than Flair. I thought Flair was about as safe as it gets. Either way, I am stoked :D

The Cardinals aren't that great of a pick imho, unless you get lucky.

There is a great chance for a Pujols g/u, but there are only 107 live autos in the product.
