Jesse - Good morning, what part of Canada did you say you lived in?
That would be any part west of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan!![]()
I live in Calgary
I've traveled through Calgary the 5 times I've driven either to or from Alaska over the years. I've always been impressed with the Canadian drivers as far as being very polite on the road. Some of the best scenery on that drive is through Canada as well.

The farthest North I've been on the Alaska Highway was by accident! (yeah, wrong turn in Calgary and I ended up in Keokuk) (Keokuk is one of Krusty's funny cities) EDIT: "Memorize these funny place names: Walla Walla, Keokuk, Cucamonga, Seattle."thefatguy said::shock:  :shock:69MetsFan said:I've traveled through Calgary the 5 times I've driven either to or from Alaska over the years. Wow! 5 times up the highway?!?!? What a drive!! I'd like to do that once in a late summer (with bottles and bottles of DEET)
did you every veer off around Calgary and go to Banff?
Awesome drive. The best way to see North America is by car.The odd number is due to flying down and picking up my two oldest kids and a car from South Carolina and driving back up.

My girlfriend missed her flight to Fort St. John for an environmental job, and I was off work (2 Feb's ago), so we took off in the car. She's driven up there lots with work, but that was the first time. It's cool hitting the traffic circle in Dawson Creek, the start of the highway. So I was on it for a short stretch! (the drive back was AWFUL!!! She flew back on Fri night, but I wanted to bust out on thursday, just in case the weather was bad...and it was...I could see just feet in front of the car, with no snow tires, just all seasons....and I didn't want to stop in the small towns because the snow was so deep I thought I'd get stuck. At least only a few other cars passed me, but the semi that showed up on my 2 o'clock made me shard a little in my pants...it was a little too close, 2 feet or less from my mirror to his from fender!)

thefatguy said:our best roadie was 6 weeks. Me and my parents went to Nebraska for the Texas game in Oct 06. It was my grad gift to go to a game, and I had that date written down for 2 years. (the game was incredible. It was snowy and cold, and I didn't care! What an atmosphere!) At the same time we visited Family and buried my grandparents ashes. (I am half American but not dual citizen, my dad was born in norhtern Texas).
From there we went west to denver, then south to santa fe, IN 1 DAY! (16 hours, all interstate) we then went to the Canyon, Sedona and down to San Diego, which was really where the destination was (we just stopped over in Neb). We spent 3 weeks touring up the PCH, staying in SD, Santa Monica, SF, Napa/St. Helena (Andrew, my girlfriend is a Stevenson, and somewhere back down the line, they are actually related to Robert Louis Stevenson), Arcata/Eureka, Coos Bay, Vancouver, Seattle (my girlfriend flew to seattle and stayed on our second last weekend) then home. I think it was about 6000KM.

...have seen it....I love all vintage baseball shows.
Last night on MLBN I watched the 74 WS highlights (Dodgers/A's) and 75 (Sox/Reds). I remember watching them with our entire Little League when we had our annual league event where they showed the previous years WS video. 75 still gives me goosebumps........and tears.......
