I don't get how Beckham's surgery is the top story on ESPN & SI? I thought we lived in North America :|

Two reasons:
One-Global Icon now playing in North America full time.
Two - First match of the WC for England is against the US, the "highly anticipated" Becks / Landon match up. (i say highly anticipated in quotes because DB would PROBABLY not even seen the pitch in that match

HA! I lived in the UK for a little over a year. Not knowing a soul when I did, you have to know SOMETHING about the game and the players to be able to have a quasi-intelligent conversation in a pub. Now granted, I probably fell in love with it more than most Americans would, but i digress....

and hell, I love curling now too, and that was just watching it for two weeks!

Ben Rothlisberger should really start evaluating his life. Maybe just his off-season decision making process, of which there doesn't seem to be one. . . near fatal motorcycle accident, a sexual assault allegation last year, and another one this year.
