Good morning, everyone!

Does anyone know if USPS has weight/size restrictions? I have a rather large lot of MAD magazines wanting to be purchased by a new member here with only 6 posts. I gotta get a box to ship them all in...

Will the USPS reject something over 40 lbs?

Art,

hope you get the package sometime soon.. I would think you should have had it already. I probably should have asked you for your complete address again since i took the street addy and added it to the rest of your old address not knowing for sure if that was still same city/zip.

Would likely cost you $25 or more through USPS. You'd be better off with FedEx or UPS.

Oddly enough, 50 lbs with UPS is $59, while Media Mail with USPS is $22. (Parcel post is $45). I'm thinking of just charging him $45, seeing how much it is once I get there and refunding him the difference.

If it can fit into on of there flat rate boxes with out making it look like it is stuff and you change the shape of the box
it goes for up to 70 lbs@ 1 price. But no they will take your 40 pound box

you shouldn't have a problem as I think they go up to 70lbs or something like that. I traded my 200 comic book collection in December to a guy on the Bench and I packed them up in boxes I got from my work that hold Golf balls dozens normally. I did two boxes.. the bigger of the two probably weighed 40lbs and the smaller maybe 10. cost me about $35 to ship both but it was worth it to me to get rid of all that and I factored shipping into my BV for the trade. best part was the box I used fit 2 comic books side by side laying flat perfectly.. so I could just make two even piles top to bottom in the box with no room for them to slide around. the benefits of working for a place that does shipping of all different size boxes I guess!

Morning Therion. Nice Kyle card. I just got a Piazza Players Private Issue, but it was from 96. Congrats on the 300 different. How many does he have total?

I wasn't sure I'd find the auction version of this card but it popped up on Sportlots for next to nothing.

He has 560 different cards. It was 559 for years but Topps released a cut signature this year in Topps Sterling that nobody will ever pull because nobody is opening that overpriced carp any more.

Good morning guys. I hope everyone has a great St. Patrick's Day.

Billy- Congrats on some more nice Kile cards! Only 1 away from 300 is impressive. Looking forward to seeing you crack the milestone.

Paul- Good luck with the appointment today.

Adam- Like Richard said, the Flat Rate Priority Boxes allow you to ship up to 70 lbs for one cost. I'm not sure how many Mad Magazines you could squeeze in a box, but that is a much cheaper alternative than UPS or FedEx.

funny you say that cause I thought they must have a decent sized flat rate box even if the rate was $30 or whatever.. went down there and none of the square ones are even big enough to fit a comic book or magazine. the long rectangular one will but you could only put a handful in it. I thought by weight it was gonna be expensive but it wasn't bad at all. I think my box was 12x15x15 or something like that.
