Thanks!

I think my kids are suffering the most.. I can't play inside or outside with them like I normally would. They are 6 and 4 and so full of energy and don't understand fully whats going on with daddy. I want to get better soon just for them so we can get back to normal. Got a call from a couple people I work with last nite checking to see how I was.. when I told them, they started crying on the phone. The people I work with have been very supportive and I feel fortunate to work with such good people.

good morning Alex and thanks for the well wishes..

depending what kind of time I have I may scan the cards this afternoon after I pick them up. if not sometime this weekend I'll be able to. I am excited though.. haven't had a mailday like this since I started back collecting in 07 and picked up a lot this size from a guy on the Bench. with my current percentage owned and looking at whats left on my wantlist mostly being numbered, GU'ed, Auto's, and 1/1's you can see its tough to add volume in one shot. This will now make that much tougher than it already was. Good thing collecting is a lifelong passion! if I manage to outlast some of the other longtime collectors I may have a chance to buy a few out down the road.

Guys, busy is the only word that comes to mind. Spring break starts Saturday and I will be busier than ever.

Work wise/away from work/both?? Can't believe spring break is this week for you...then again it's closer to April already  Whats new with the C monster lately??

Paul - Sounds great on the cards!!! I bet it gets tougher each card you are able to scratch off. How many are you up to after what was just sent??

Both, but I am leaving Wednesday to give a talk at the University of South Carolina and then a visit to my project site with the land owners. I am trying to get some work done and make images so they will continue their interest in archaeology.

How goes the GNW? Speaking of which time to make more coffee.

George - Wow...that does sound like a lot of work just to sustain whats going on  How long will you be out of town?? Archaeology was my career I wanted to do as a kid...wish I would have pursued that as it looks like a lot of fun considering the knowledge that is gained out of it :D The PNW is pretty good...Jen and I went skiing on Tuesday. Looks like it was the last week or so the mountain would be open. Started raining on us the last hour so we left a little early

Joe - Whats up Broseph!!! Long time no chat...I've been neglecting my phone lately since I'm on it all day at work ::facepalm::  How is everything going dude?? Anything new and exciting?? I saw you enjoyed the first episode of the new South Park season...any good??

Kevin - Good morning...and you are welcome :) Hope the week is treating you well...did you pick up any M's tickets on the first day of sales??

Alex,

give or take other incoming and pending stuff.. it will have me around 1760/2665 which doesn't seem all that close. but thats factoring 100 or so 1/1's and probably a couple hundred cards that are numbered 25 or less. The mid to late 90's cards is where I got some nice help in this lot as well as 2000. I'm getting down to the hardest, rarest, and most expensive inserts left that I need now from the 90's.. same struggle alot of other guys here know all too well. I stopped buying in 1995 so I really missed good opportunity to score most of these tough inserts as they were pack pulled. now 10-15 years later it seems almost impossible to chase some of them down or have the funds to buy them if I do find them.

Alex, short 3-day trip. It will be good plus all of the information I am preparing is going into a grant and a magazine article.
Do you and Jen have any big plans on the horizon?
