Off today and considering rescanning my Garko collection or organizing my card room. Need to gather up some stuff to send to a few people and then a relaxing weekend. Possibly a Hershey Bears game Sunday. I'd like to do some trading today too!

Morning guys. Not much planned for the weekend. Sunday will be a day of doing whatever the hell we want. :lol: Kim gave up 2 days off because they were short handed so Sunday is a "relax" day.

I picked up 3 more cards for my Sweet Spot G/U set. Pujols, Butler, and Cliff Lee.
Will have picks up shortly of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the cave.

today is a trip to Boston for PreOp..leaving at 11am to bring my girls to my mom's house and start the drive up. At least this weekend I have a couple family parties to goto to keep my mind off my Monday surgery some. My cousin has a house warming party Saturday.. and I made a funny baseball gift for him to hang on his wall. I framed him a 5 card collage of the funny named guys in baseball (Rusty Kuntz, Woody Held, Dick Pole, Pete LaCock, Stubby Clapp). This should get a funny reaction and be a nice conversation piece for his mancave. It ties into what we talked about at his bachelor party while at a Pawtucket Red Sox game. There was a guy who's name was Cookie or something like that and everyone from our party just had some fun with it. I happened to say imagine if your name was Rusty Kuntz.. I guess nobody had ever heard of him and the laughter was hysterical so this should really be a second funny reaction. as promised yesterday here are the scans from my big trade. doesn't look like alot but most of these cards are numbered inserts and also not pictured were 6 other GU'ed that were included which I already owned a copy of but will make great tradebait.

I want to give a shout out to Paul. He sent me a 1989 Topps Chris Sabo Gallery of Champions card. It is very much appreciated. I will try to get a scan up later.

My Xavier Musketeers are the first game of the Tournament today. I am very much looking forward to the game today. A lot of great basketball yesterday with upsets, overtimes, and buzzer beaters. Everything you would hope the Tournament would be.

Great episode of The Office last night as well.

I also forgot to add in my last post I finalized a deal with a member here Tpeichel (Tim) that will land me 40 more items for my Canseco PC.. a few Beckett list cards but the rest is gaming cards, a puzzle, few 8x10's and many other oddball items. Some of them Ive seen but just not bought others I haven't seen at all. definately nice to be able to trade for these in a nice lot. Saves a ton on shipping with a bunch of oddball dollar items that would nickle and dime me to death on Ebay.. thus the reason I haven't jumped on some of this stuff. it'll brighten my spirits sometime next week when I receive it. two big hauls in two weeks is almost amazing these days!

Major letdown of the day already...

While scanning my Garko Collection, I was looking for the 2 BDP Garko Plates I had to add to the matching 2 that I just picked up after a year of haggling with the owner...only to find out that I only had 1 of them. So now I'm on the lookout for the 4th plate that I thought I had...bummer.

Good morning Alex! thanks for the compliments on the pickups.. I would make that trade again a few times over! these inserts would have probably cost me 5-10 per on quite a few of them and would have cost at least double what I paid for the Jeter that I traded for them all. I know this haul would make Eddie (tonsofcommons) smile with all the Pacific in it. The Decades auto was a MUST.. Ive been saying it here for the last week and Dave will be proud I took it home. that card just looks so sweet in hand.

Paul- Congrats on the pick ups! The Decades is sweet. Tim is great to deal with. I bought a bunch of Pete Rose and Chris Sabo cards from him. He has some great stuff to help fill missing cards for player collectors.
