As to my response to requests for elaboration.....I've just had it w/ people on ebay. Everyone thinks oh yeah the heyward train and all the $$$, but people forget when you get a big time hot streak on something you deal with a bunch of uninformed buyers, who don't know jack. Retracted offers, just plain stupid offers, backing out of offers, the works. It just gets old.

One of these days I should take off a little time at work.. then I won't keep getting these messages.. ::facepalm::

You are at or near your vacation maximum. You currently have 323.1 vacation hours, and your limit is 320 hours. You should maintain your vacation account under the maximum, using vacation hours to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

When I started here, I used to say I would never get in this situtation.. but when your group is down to "2" from 8.. It makes it harder to take vacation..

He's better than the previous owners hands down. This is nothing new. He talked about cash/salary cap last year too.

I liked J. Starks take/question on this. Most teams get 75-90 mil before ticket sales, what are teams like Pittsburgh and other doing with the money?

I wish I knew what Bob Nutting spent his money on because it sure isn't the players.

Pittsburgh is the prime example, I guess. Payroll is 1/3 of the revenue sharing money they receive. I would be all for a salary cap if teams spent money to benefit the team. With a cap they would need a minimum salary cap as well since teams do under spend. Right now I like the system.

Don't forget the Padres and Marlins spent less than Pittsburgh last season.

as hard as it is to admit George I have to agree I like the system as it is as well. Nutting is the 2nd Pirate owner in a row who hasn't used the revenue sharing and ticket sales to pay the players. even though there was an ownership change from McClatchy to Nutting nothing has changed.
