Its a big deal down here Doug, and hearing that todays measure might not work isnt helping. I heard someone say it might not stop until August or something if this doesnt pan out. Incredible, and the tourism/seafood/businesses etc that will be lost is astonishing.

Dan, sorry to keep hearing the awful news down there. Years ago there was a smaller spill from one tanker right off the coast of Huntington Beach. The oil got into the Bolsa Chica wetlands (environmental preserve) and the damage caused so much devastation to wildlife, it was unbelievable. Students from my college were involved in the cleanup and animal rescues.
