Good morning George, indy, Eds, Mox...

Mox - those tristar shows in TX worth traveling to?

Last time i went was 2003 in Houston and it was worth it then. I dont know how the show is now. From what i hear there are less dealers that show up.

For some reason I thought you frequented that show? Maybe I am thinking of trevordchi?

Thats probably who you were thinking of. I was like how in the hell did he know i used to live in Texas.

I DID know you used to live in Texas and just saw in the profile to the left that you are in VA. I always had you classified as an Astros collector and equated that with you being in TX. Narrow minded I am!

Good memory. I havent posted about me living in Texas since the BMB. Never been an Astros collector though.

If the weather forecast holds out here in NC, I might be doing the same thing tomorrow with the wife and kids. There is a par 3 course nearby that is perfect for those of us (and all 4 of us qualify) that stink at golf.

Happy New Year to you Scott! Yeah, pretty depressing the season is over for both of us. Oh well. Anyone catch the NHL Winter Classic game (Wings vs Blackhawks) in Wrigley Field yesterday? Great game and cool to see 41,000+ come out for a hockey game in a baseball stadium.

I did see some of the hockey. As a Northerner I have seen lots of hockey over the years- Big Bad Bruins of the late 70's (who won nothing) and minor league Maine Mariners (in the 80's, won championships their 1st 2 years of existence :o ). I thought the "Take me out to the ballgame" schtik was corny, but what a cool venue for such a game. Wonder if they'll ever come to Boston with the classic at Fenway?? Your Sabres hosted last year I believe.

Nothing special at the moment unfortunately... I'm saving my pennies and dimes for a Taylor Made set in the future. Looking at the R7's or Burner XD's.

Yep, played in Ralph Wilson stadium. Seeing the play all bundled up made me want to get out the skates and stick. Haven't played for years, probably kill myself

I play the TM Rac OS (about 6 years old now though) but I hear that the R7s are good. Cant go wrong with TM.

I tell you what, my interest in hockey took a real hit when they didn't play in 2002 or 2003, was it? Can't remember the year. I also used to watch the Red Wings religiously back when we lived in Detroit. They televised every game on Fox Sports. NOw, I'm lucky to catch any game. And watching the Classic yesterday was great. Kind of peaked my interest again. Have to dig out my Wings jersey ;)
