Good morning Andrew!

I'm guessing since she didn't smother you in your sleep that it was a successful trip?

No, though she did shove me each time I snored, which was pretty often. Of course she does that at home, too, but it is extra special during a honeymoon.

The trip was good, but too short! Ran out of money yesterday morning, so had to come home a couple days early.

First night we stayed in King City, CA. Not a lot to do in King City, but my wonderful wife suggested seeing Salt at the local movie theater! Pretty cool movie, with a lot of beatdowns in it.

Next night we stayed near Glen Ellen. The special Moonlight event at Jack London State Historic Park was amazing! I was able to further embarrass Chris there. The woman who ran the event heard from someone :P that it was our honeymoon, so she made a big announcement and everything. Then she presented us with a limited edition copy of the Jack London Ranch Album, hand signed by Jack's daughter, Becky! It was serial numbered out of 350.

Everyone was really nice to us there. Chris and I don't drink much (as in pretty much never), but we had some Ginger Gin Fizz drinks and some wine. We know nothing about wine, but it tasted good to me! Really great meal and the curator of the Jack London collection at the Huntington Library gave a nice talk. Also got to tour the cottage for the first time. I took many pictures and will put them in Photobucket later.

Next morning, we went back to the park to take a nature walk. Got Chris to hike with me to the smokehouse, silos, and even the Pig Palace. Yes, I said the Pig Palace. Then, we were on the road for seven hours to head up to Klamath, near the Cal/Oregon border. Walked through a bunch of Redwood forests and stayed at the Motel Trees. Super cool place situated within the Redwoods. Went to some touristy spots that we have been to in the past and it was fun.

Next day, we hauled back down to Oakland for more Jack London fun! Saw Jack London Square, which was somewhat disappointing. The museum that used to be there has permanently closed so they could put in some ugly restaurant/bar (Yay, America!)

We did see what might be his transplanted Yukon cabin. Also, stopped into a tiny little bar that was a haunt of Jack's in his youth. The building was tiny; about the size of our living room and dining room put together. Got to sit at the exact table Jack used to sit at, so I was geekin' out about that! Oakland can be somewhat frightening after dark, so we headed back to the room after dinner and barricaded ourselves in. :P

Next morning, we got up early and trucked over the bridge to San Francisco. It is our favorite city and we spent the day wandering up and down the hills. Visited City Lights bookstore, Coit Tower, Golden Gate Park, the Palace of Fine Arts and other places. Before we knew it, the day was over so we drove down to South San Francisco for the last night. By the way, I found the BEST pizza I have ever had there at a place called Cecilia's. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

The next morning we packed up Myron and headed south to rejoin the real world.

Just in case you think that this vacation was all about me, I will have you know that
once Chris had some wine in her, she really enjoyed the JLSHP experience. Ha! Just kidding, honey!

But really, she loves California Missions and throughout the trip, we stopped at SIX of the 21 missions. SIX of 'em!

So, there you have the first longish trip that Chris and I took alone. No blood was spilled, no lawyers were consulted. A nice time was had! :)

There will be pics eventually. Chris knows I don't understand how to put pictures on a computer, so she will put them on somehow. From there, I do know how to put them in a Photobucket album, so, I got that goin' for me.

You where gone ;) Not much but I could be wrong

This is what you missed, some really nice additions to PC's, some new idiots on the board, and D.Brown.

Time to get ready for work, will check back in this evening. Have a great day everybody!

Morning all. Everything is going well w/baby and Theresa. She's struggling to "latch on", which frustrates her, which can frustrate me. Just trying to work through everything w/out losing our cool.

George - Package is ready to send out. Keep it hush-hush until it arrives ;)
