I will never understand the obsession with deep-dish pizza...crap

I LOVE deep dish pizza! :?

I have nothing against people liking it, I guess. :lol:

I just don't understand why any time someone mentions Chicago, it's: "You GOTTA go to Uno, or Gino's."

Chicago has some of the BEST food in the world, including thin-crust pizza, yet people immediately
equate Chicago to these over-priced tourist trap dumps that you couldn't force me into at gunpoint.

Idk, maybe it's because I live here, but most of the things people suggest to do in Chicago, my response is: "Really?"

Good morning all. Nice to see everyone in here today. Nothing big planned for me today. Banging on the computer writing reports for most of the day then off to the middle school to teach hunter safety this afternoon.

Barry - If you're plannning on making your asskicking tour anytime soon, you'd better get healthy.

I can't speak for Chicago, but this deep dish was pretty damn tasty! (Made at camp in a Dutch oven).

I've been to Chicago twice. I got deep dish pizza last time I was there from Giordano's. It was pretty tasty. I'm a total pizza-snob (If there could be one) since I am from NY. I enjoyed the Giordano's pizza and considered more of a novelty than anything else.

All I have to say is......................CHARLIE NEEDS TO FIND A JOB. Seems someone has been home a little to long these days. :lol:
As for the Deep Dish debate. It is not my first choice but I do like it. So if you do come into town, try it atleast once. But there a lot of others that have thin crust as well. Rosati's come to mind when I think of thin crust that I like. I also like 2-3 other non-chain places right here in town by me. You can debate the pie until your blue in the face, and your not going to agree completely.
