Thanks for the wishes guys. Yeah - things have gotten rough for sure. Her entire company went chapter 7, several hundred people all got axed with no notice. Not the best way to start the week, but it will work itself out.

sorry to hear the bad news. At least you say you were prepared for something like this and you sound very positive about the future.

Well said, there is certainly something to be said for being prepared and for being optimistic. We should all take stock of our finances to make sure we could weather such a life change. And having a positive outlook will hopefully pay-off.

Best of luck......

ballerskrip, she is a marketing manager for a holiday card company.

Dan, she definitely enjoys spending more time with the little guy. We haven't pulled him out of daycare, but we have been dropping him off late and picking him up early, so that is fun!

Good morning all!

Rob: Sorry to hear about the wife losing her job. My thoughts are with you guys. I was out of work last year for almost 8 months before I got my current job. She'll get through this. And I am sure she will cherish the time with the little one!

Mojo: How are things? Long time, no talk my friend!

Caleb, hope you feel better. Strep sucks.

Rob: hope your situation improves and your wife gets a job again soon. My wife is in the same boat with possible layoffs and such. She works at a third tier supplier to Ford. Scary in the world of auomotive right now.

Things are definitely better this year than they were at this time last year (I was out of a job then). Now I am stacking up on some prospects and adding some other things to sell at a show I do each month.

How's life on your end?

You have them now? After only half a school year? That has to be rough on teachers.
In MA, our test (MCAS) is in late March for ELA, and late May for math. Even with a May date, I don't get everything I want into the classroom to a mastery level.
