Where would the Reds be right now without Frazier and Ludwick? This isn't just a question to further pushing Frazier into ROY...just a legit question. Ever since Votto went out it was either Ludwick, Bruce, or Frazier carrying the team offensively every night. Sometimes all three!

Ok, now I'm going to push for his campaign for ROY - he was a little league champion and saved someone from dying this year!!! That is another two first place votes

Frazier gets the nod in my book. On top of what everyone else has said, dude lost his bat and still hit a homer. The most exciting thing Wade Miley has done is induce a double play. Or so I'm told, I always fall asleep when he pitches.

Wade Miley won today, and is now 14-8 with a 2.80 era. How can he not be the frontrunner?
He's now 4th in the NL in era, ahead of Dickey, Cain, Strasburg, Kershaw, Hamels, Bumgarner, etc.

So are you guys telling me he can play Catcher, Pitcher, Shortstop, and centerfield? No offense, but a guy that can play 1b/3b and the corner outfields spots can't "play every position on the field".

The problem with your statement is that Frazier has played SS and 2B since being called up by the Reds as well. I'd say that all five infield spots is a pretty good indication that he can play the field...pun intended. One life saved. The Divine Intervention HR. Walkoff bombs. Frazier has created moments this season. Miley has compiled stats. Mostly with no pressure. Frazier was asked to replace Scott Rolen and Joey Votto.

That might have solidified it but who knows. It would be a crime not to find a spot for this guy once Votto returns.

I'm not sure what the exact numbers are, but someone should look up what the reds record is this year with and without Frazier in the lineup. The difference is staggering. If I can find it again I will post it. Miley has been great, but it seems like the ROY race is similar to the MVP race in one respect. It is hard for a pitcher to win either award when he only plays once every 5 days. Fair or not, all things being equal, the edge will go to the hitter most of the time.

This was before the last 2 wins, but here is the Reds record from a few days ago with and without Frazier in the lineup. Keep in mind to that a lot of those games he has started have been without Votto in the lineup, which makes it even more impressive:

The Reds record when Frazier starts a game: 56-32.

The Reds record when he doesn’t: 21-20.

Has to be Frazier at this point, his stats are just a cut above everyone else. I think Miley comes in a close second with Rosario finishing third.

Harper is going to make the decision difficult.

In his last 8 games, Harper is 12-for-30 (.400) with 2 2B, 5 HR, 10 R, 10 RBI

the last ten games do not undo what he has been doing all year. i could pull up a ten game span of harpers stats that would be laughable.

lol ok, that wasnt my point but whatever. You could do the same with any player out there so your comment is pointless. I'm pointing out the fact that coming down the stretch that Frazier is slipping and Harper is heating up.

One month of raking won't undo the remainder of the season. It's too little, too late for Harper.

And I'm a fan.
