Not that anyone wants to think about it, bet how do y'all see the NFC West caming out now that we are 3 weeks in?
I love the win yesterday by the Hawks but the first and second half was night and day. In the first half, the Seahawks defense was flying around, putting hats on the ball, stripping it out, and put great pressure on Rivers. In the second half, the Hawks seemed to be playing reaction football instead of action football. They only rushed 3 or 4 and Rivers had a field day back there. I am guessing the defensive coordinator took his foot off the gas pedal and decided to coast but if that's true, he needs to not do that ever again. A 17 point lead is NEVER enough against a QB like Rivers. If the Seahawks want to compete, they have to keep that pressure on all the time.
Perhaps, ST. Louis isn't quite as bad as we all thought? I knew Steven Jackson was/is a beast but maybe the Rams are going to make a push to get out of last place. Riding high off their win, the Seahawks better be careful this Sunday. We cannot afford to lose at St. Louis with some of the opponents coming down the road.
The 49ers...how can a team with so many great weapons be so god-awful? I took their week 1 loss to the Hawks as a blessing. In week 2, they played the Saints to the wire furthur making me thankful they weren't firing on all cylinders in week 1. Then in week 3, they laid a dino-sized egg vs. the Chiefs. The offensive coordinator is gone...but I wonder if the problem isn't a little higher...like Mike Singletary?
I cannot believe the Cardinals are 2-1. They look like absolute dog crap but somehow managed to get past the Rams in week 1 and thanks to Janikowski (sp?), got a second win vs Oakland. Derek ANderson is awful and as they start playing better teams, I feel it's going to show. I wonder if Max Hall can step up when they call his number...
Week 4 predictions:
The Seahawks will get pressure on Bradford and come out with a rare road win vs the Rams 24-17
The niners are going to get handled again in Atlanta. 27-10
The Cardinals are going to be on the wrong end of a Chargers team who is pissed off about losing to the Hawks. 34-14.
