same here, loved last years topps black retail blasters, but you never get anything nice out of them. the guarantee is a manu patch, which I confess is actually pretty nice for a manu.
your % of legends of the game cards is way lower, and in general as you said just a waste of cash..

yea the way I think of it is you can buy a pretty nice card for $20, a lot nicer then I will get from a blaster.

for sure. Ive been getting super good deals on purple crusades lately. not only are they better than the blaster, but they actually have +15 apiece resale, where the blaster would take forever to sell a bunch of tiny crap and end up with 5 total.
and the crusades dont take a whole drawer.
