I think Kevin Gausman may have just vaulted to number one.
It's safe to say he will have to do it against better competition than Michigan. And this is coming from a huge Michigan fan. And, Mark Appel has had himself some nice performances this year as well.

I think if anything, Gausman may have begun to legitimize his name in the #1 discussions, but it's going to take a lot more for him to be number 1.

Appel still probably has the advantage.

One killer outing for MSU's Chris Stratton -- 8.2 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 17 K.

Kevin Gausman, his opponent, was no slouch either - 8.2 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 4 BB, 11 K.

My Bruins have won 12 straight, including tonight against ASU on a walkoff HR by 2B Kevin Williams (great kid).

Marcus Stroman dominated a ranked Miami team:
7.0 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 13 K

Michael Wacha, who had been dominating all year, surprisingly got blasted by Kansas State:
5.1 IP, 11 H, 9 R, 8 ER, 3 BB, 5 K

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Luke Maile's two-run homer with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning to center field lifted undefeated Kentucky past South Carolina.

South Carolina (15-2, 0-1 SEC) raced out to a 3-0 lead after six innings, highlighted by Erik Payne's solo homer in the fourth.

Kentucky (19-0, 1-0) scored twice in the seventh before Maile drilled a 2-1 pitch from Evan Beal with one out in the ninth off the glove of a leaping Evan Marzilli

Sounds like a dramatic finish in Lexington. Kentucky might have something going this year!

Does anyone know of a reliable mock draft that's been released? Besides Sickels?

I agree, I don't like it either. I do say it now and then out of habit. Joe Tiller's wife made it up actually.

Ahh, I did not know that.

I can't believe Purdue is 14-1, I don't follow Big 10 baseball much(mainly just football and basketball), but that is impressive.

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- A day after a walk-off homer from Luke Maile, freshman A.J. Reed drove in the game-winning run with a double in the seventh inning and picked up the win on the mound in relief, leading Kentucky to its school-record 20th consecutive win to open the season, posting a series-clinching 4-3 win over No. 2 South Carolina on Saturday afternoon.

These Wildcats are tough! Hopefully SC can salvage one win tonight and end that winning steak they have in Lexington!

Chris Straton had the best pitching performance by a visitor that I've seen in 25 years at LSU. 17K's in 8 2/3 innings. Incredible performance by Gausman as well. Both had pinpoint command and got no decisioned. LSU did get the W though :D. Hoping he goes #1 overall.

13-11 right behind Purdue... A couple more Ski-U-Mah! would be nice. Bring back some of that 2010 magic... THAT was a team.

SCSU is also #1 in the Central.

Boiler Up! This might be the first time in a long time that a Big Ten team gets an "At Large" bid into the postseason just in case Purdue doesn't win the BTT.

South Carolina takes game one from #1 Florida last night 9-3. Gamecock pitchers Michael Roth and Matt Price allowed only 2 runs on 5 hits while the Gamecock hitters roughed up Austin Maddox in relief. Florida got a strong performance from starter Hudson Randall, who struck out a career-high 11 batters and walked just one in 5 2/3 innings. Never was he better than in the first inning, when he escaped a no-out, bases-loaded jam by striking out three consecutive batters.

Brian Johnson starts tonight for Florida, should be annother good one.

1. Florida
2. Stanford
3. Arkansas
4. North Carolina
5. Arizona
6. Florida State
7. UCLA
8. South Carolina
9. Rice
10. Texas A&M

Breaks UFs 18-game winning streak as well. Funny that Maddox was the one who got roughed up. BA just gave him a very good write up saying his future is probably on the mound and how dominant he's been as their closer this season. Is there a reason this series started on Thursday night instead of Friday?

Not sure why SC vs UF started on Thursday. SC played games both Tues and Wed before starting the series vs Florida ::facepalm:: . Florida is cruising tonight 7-1 in the 6th inning.
