Given that so many other teams have some fruitful discussion going on between fans of the same team, I figured that the A's could have their own as well. I know I've run into a few A's fans on this board. So to start things off, what are your thoughts on our pitching thus far this year?

Ha, what's your vested interest in him? I'm actually a USC Gamecocks fan so I've been rooting for him als.

I'll follow the thread and add some A's minor league info after my first Rivercats game. I think my first tickets are on April 25th.

Getting at least 2 of 4 from the Angels in Anaheim is a great way to start off the season.

I'm just hoping tonight San Jose game against the Stockton Ports doesn't get rained out.

I think the A's have a potent offense this year. They just need their young pitching staff to keep them in games. I think Travis Buck is going to have a breakout season this year. I am going to the A's game in the end of the month where they are giving out free Matt Holliday jerseys. :)

I have a HUGE stash of his stuff from 05 (including the BC rainbow). Hope he does well so I can unload.

That will be much appreciated. I used to go to a few Rivercats games yearly until I moved down to San Diego for school.

I agree. Any time the A's can start off the season by at the very least splitting a series with a 100 win team from last year, I'm happy.

The A's offense definitely is improved and I agree that the real concern will be the young pitchers. I'm not used to this as a fan. In the past few seasons it seemed like if the A's pitching gave up 2 or 3 runs it was game over. This year we have already shown the ability to come back with our offense.

I don't see the A's maintaining wins like this. Young pitching is a roller coaster and in order to win with pitching like this, the A's are going to have to put up 6+ runs every game. They have a good offense, but not a 6+ every game offense.

If they don't have a fire sale midseason, they could win the AL west, but come playoffs they'd probably get routed in the first round (as usual).

He's no longer on the A's. I think he's on the Blue Jays now.

I'm an A's fan. Powell got the start at 1st today to relieve Giambi...Blevins just ruined my afternoon though.
