speaking of garbage, sorry magnet but hopefully you know this is a game like every other cowboys
big game, a game they cannot win. honestly, please dont expect them to ever win anything
again, it is just never going to happen.

Seriously, man?

Hey, you can rail on the Pokes all you want. They've had their off-field troubles and late Season collapses and Bad losses, but a Giants fan hardly has any room to talk on either issue...

im a cowboys fan gt, but ever since the romo muffed xtra point, i have had 0 faith and they havent disappointed.
so after that season romo starts the garbage with that blonde *****, and i mean really, would roger or troy
have done that kind of crap? he is a useless *******, and can we count the ways he has muffed every big game up?
sure, maybe they get lucky tonight, but that just means a burial in the 1st playoff game.

I'm sorry but I think you are placing too much of the teams failure on Romo.

you are right, deff is not all him, but what is him is that he is just not capable of ever winning
a big game, and to win a super bowl, he would have to win 2 or 3 of them.

Maybe, just maybe the Cowboys should work on open field wide open tackling. That was embarrassing. Complete whiff. This team kills me week in and week out. They suck and yet some people still think Romo can play in this league. Just hard to watch. So many games this year they should've won that would make this game completely irrelevant. Fire the entire coaching staff and bring in winners, not blowhards like the Ryans. Garrett has no business wearing a headset either. Hope the state of Texas loves that huge civic center Jerry built them, cause nothing meaningful football wise will be done there.

Just sick and tired of them, yet I can't quit them. Guess time to root for a team that has no expectation of ever winning a championship again so I won't be disappointed any more.

And why can't Romo play in the NFL? Since the Detroit game he had been fantastic was playing at a high level.

I agree on the tackling but the Cowboys still won two more games than last year w/ the same roster that needs upgraded. A full offseason and roster changes will have a positive impact on the Cowboys.

When was the last time he was responsible for losing a big game?

Week 1 against the Jets. That set the tone for the whole season

I know it will never happen, but what Jerry needs to do is change his ways and employ two coordinators plus the head coach. He's adamant that the head coach also needs to be a coordinator. It's not working having a two-job man. Ideally, Jerry would remove himself as GM and just be an owner. He's great at the business side of things, but often terrible with personnel and media relations.

Had Wade Phillips just been the DC, he could have done amazing things with the D last season. Jason Garrett seems to be a pretty solid head coach, but I don't believe in his ability to also hold the job of OC (I also question his gameplan and playcalling at times). Let Garrett just run the team and manage things overall. Bring in an OC for support. I think it would help tremendously. Norv Turner is on my dream list if he's fired from SD, but again, never going to happen.

Romo is your QB, no question. He can play. The man is a top 5 QB statistically in just about every category. If you give him a solid run game, he will shine like the Northern Star. When Murray returns next season, the Cowboys will have that run game (assuming the plays are called for it). Plus, Felix Jones will get to be the compliment back, so he will be explosive. Having Felix Jones carry the workload doesn't work, and he's not the same guy. That's what ruined Marion Barber. Plus, the Cowboys will have Tanner back, and that kid runs HARD. Romo played through a cracked rib and then through his hand last night. This guy is one tough guy, has heart, and has the desire to win. He's had a couple of bad games, sure, but many QBs do. People just seem to love to ride the hate train. I have faith in Romo as long as the OC is calling a decent game.

The Cowboys have arguably the best receiving corp in the NFL as of now. I don't see Robinson coming back next season, which is a huge blow. He's going to go to a team that will give him a shot at the #2 job with #2 money. Miles and Dez are still a great 1-2 punch, and Jason Witten is still going strong. The Cowboys might need to pick somebody up in free agency to fill the #3 role, because Ogletree is garbage and Garrett seems to have a vendetta against Jesse Holley (whom I think should have been ahead of Ogletree this season). If they can get a reliable #3, they still have a great set running routes.

The o-line is young and will get better. Doug Free better pull his head out of his ass and start playing up to his money. The rest of the line isn't too bad. It's pretty young and promising. Kosier is getting up there in age, so I'm not sure how much longer he has left, considering Jerry is putting an emphasis on youth. I'm not worried about the o-line moving forward.

Now let's look at efense. Rob Ryan has coached great first halves, and then there is no D in Allas in the 2nd half. He needs to start making the right changes in the locker room. He also seems to just throw in his defense without having the right personnel. He needs to play a little more to the player's strengths than asking them to play to his defense. The Cowboys have three studs on defense right now in Ware, Lee, and Ratliff. Jenkins seemed to be returning to form, and I think will be fine moving forward (if he can stop leaving the game with injuries multiple times a game). Newman is on the downside, but I think can still contribute just fine. Senselessbaugh isn't going anywhere after Jerry just overpaid him, but I question if he's really starter material. Defensive end also seems to be a weak spot, although Hatcher is progressing nicely.

They're just fine on special teams with Bailey and McBriar. Harris seems like he should be an okay return guy, and there's always Dez for an occasional return when the game is on the line.

Even against the Jets the defense allowed some late scores and the blocked punt didn't help.

I agree w/ you except on a few things:

1. The Cowboys should be able to get Robinson back if they want him b/c they will have the cap space.

2. IMO Newman's done in Dallas. He has been terrible the past few weeks and got destroyed by Cruz last night. He's worse than #43.lol

A couple of my still ticked off thoughts:

1. Romo is a Pro bowl Caliber QB. The defense was WAAAAY more responsible than him for the Bad losses.

2. I too think Robinson will be back, and really hope so.

3. Murray is the every-down RB next year, with Jones providing the change-of-pace long runs. That's the role he was drafted for, and he fits it well.

4. NO ONE is worse than #43.

5. When CM uses the expression "shine like the Northern star" than I know he watches too many Musical reality shows... :?

#43 wasn't getting burnt on every pass his way. #41 looked old and useless last night.

I think you meant to say last MONTH.

He's been awful for the last month or so. Even my buddies who don't follow it saw last nite's game and came to the same conclusion on T-New...

Given the chance, the only D-Back I would keep for next season is Jenkins. And he struggled alot, but I'm hoping that's just the injuries and lousy Safeties.

I'll go all the way back to the Bills game. Since them he has gotten worse every week.

I have the same feelings about Jenkins but the shoulder injuries have to be a factor. I believe the brace he wears limits him from raising one of his arms so that has to hurt him in coverage and making tackles.

The Cowboys need to figure out what's wrong w/ Scandrick and how they can use him since he was just signed to a new contract. #43 had a rough year but he also played most of it w/ a sprained foot. I have high hopes he can do well in Ryans defense after a full off season to understand it. Ball, Elam, and Newman should be released or left unsigned during FA.

I agree, #41 looked horrible last night. Embarrassingly so.
As far as Romo goes, I used to really dislike him.
It was his carefree, who cares attitude that pissed me off.
That said, I think this season he took on a whole new attitude.
He showed a lot more emotion and actually got fired up, or pissed off, depending on the situation.
He won me over this year.

I agree w/ you ine Romo, his approach to the game changed and he looked like more of a leader than in the past. Romo had a good year w/ an OL that was very inconsistent. What could he do w/ an OL that gave him time to pass w/out running for his life.

ESPN is hinting that Campo will be gone next year and Houck and Maxie will be back. Kind of surprised w/ Maxie and Houck w/ the way the OL and S's played.

Callahan has replace Houck and Henderson has replaced Campo.

Henderson comes from the Browns (the Cowboys wanted him last year but the Browns wouldn't allow him to leave their staff).

Callahan comes from the Jets and turned down an extension w/ the Jets to come to the Cowboys.

Both should have a positive impact on the team.

Yeah as long as the Boys have money to re-sign Robinson and buy a new secondary. New LB or two would be nice. Team needs an overhaul. Been so hard to watch last 15 yrs. Hell the Ravens Bucs Raiders Jets & Bears have more playoff wins in last decade than the Cowboys. That is sad.

I think they will make a strong run at Robinson and its a good sign he wants to stay in Dallas. ESPN was speculating that the Cowboys might show interest in Nicks this off season to upgrade at guard.

Callahan was useless in Nebraska. I don't think he's the answer for this team.

Ultimately the faults on this team go to the top where the team is assembled like a fantasy roster. Until a real GM is hired I don't see much success.

Totally agree with the assembly of the team. It's not a team, it's a group of individuals.

To many chiefs, not enough Indians.
