The only complaint I have is that a team I really liked to win at least one game, Iona, got stuck playing the Buckeyes as a #2 seed.

And I think St. Mary's was better than a "play-in" #12 seed...

I don't know if it's getting screwed over but Syracuse has to travel cross country to play Montana & poss. UNLV even though they are seeded higher than both. I know people here are pissed about the 10:00 pm game time on thurs night. (I work nights in a pokerroom w/ 12 tvs... cool by me!!)

Oregon got screwed IMO getting stuck with a 12 seed despite being 26-8 on the year and winning the Pac-12 tournament the day before. They beat UCLA 2x, Arizona, Vanderbilt by 26, UNLV when they were #18, Nebraska by 22. They were without their starting PG for 9 games and went only 5-4 but he is back now. I just think the #24 team in the country, from a relatively tough conference should be higher than a 12 seed IMO.

St Mary's got a tough draw for their play-in game against MTSU. I watched my Arkansas State RedWolves beat them but they are a very, very solid team. No superstars but 6-7 players who all contribute in their own individual ways. They are the epitome of fundamental basketball.

Jaw dropped during selection show when this was shown... Working nights I watched most of Pac-12 tourney and they looked pretty good. Maybe committee wanted to make sure of the 5/12 upset!! The Pac-12 basically got crapped on.

I doubt the selection committee had ever even stayed up to watch an Oregon game. They would always come on where I'm at (Arkansas) at 10pm...their pac-12 tourney games didn't start until 10:30. That meant the east coast people didn't even get to start watching them until 11:30 at night. That's the only legitimate reason for them to justify Oregon as a 12 seed.

Plus, the almighty Commitee coulda switched Cal and Oregon's spot in the Brackets to help the Ducks' seeding and avoid a Cal/UNLV rematch...

How weird is it that they will go from defending national champions, to getting bounced in 1st rd of the NIT, to pre-season top-5 and possibly #1 next year.

They do have a top recruiting class too. So they will be back for sure.

Their incoming class is supposed to be ridiculous... One of the analysts said last night that they're a favorite to win it all next year. This isn't my father's college basketball!!

Happy to see Georgetown go down, since they're in Michigan's bracket.

I still think that the Kansas/VCU/Michigan/Florida/G'town combo in that bracket was better than the Louisville/SLU/MSU/Duke combo bracket.

In fact, I think Michigan, L-ville and maybe Miami or Indy are the only teams that could handle and beat the "Havoc" that VCU brings...:(
