He's definitely a good defensive player. Probably an upgrade from whoever was manning 3B. But he really isn't a good hitter.

Just for fun I looked up Ozzie Smith's offensive WAR through age 30, and even though McMahon has a lot more power, it's twice what McMahon has put up so far. Yikes. I really thought McMahon was a better hitter than that, but the numbers say otherwise.

It was a deadline full of acquisition for the Yankees, who were able to close deals for each of Caballero, David Bednar, Jake Bird, Camilo Doval, Ryan McMahon, Amed Rosario and Austin Slater.

i think they are just treading water, inconsistent play ,errors every game, boone and cashman saying all is good. some late game wins. hide the fact that this is not a world series team. And the fans knoiw it.
