I will admit I shed tears of joy when Fitzgerald scored.

I really thought we had won, all we needed was 4 stops.

Damn Mr. Holmes.. :(

All anyone can really ask for is a great game and we got that. Great pass by Roeth and great catch by Holmes... bottom line.

The INT really proved to be the difference maker. Imagine if he got stopped at the goal line like he almost did, then that TD would not have mattered.

I wouldn't say that was a great pass by Roethlisberger. AMAZING catch by Holmes though. Can't argue the Steelers played for that victory.

But James Harrison's little punching stint...uncalled for. I'm sure a fine will be coming, as it's deserved. I lost all respect for him as a player, and I think it really takes away from his huge interception return.

Ye just throw it on the pile of craziness within the game.

Ok, you drop a ball in a corner of the end zone just out of the reach of three guys...

Which part did they prove that they "deserve it?" When they blew the 13 point lead? When they held in the end zone for a safety? When their offense sucked until the final drive?
No doubt, Pitt is the better team. But I question how far they would have gotten had Manning, Brady, Tomlinson etc. been healthy all year. Pitt is still 0-2 against the Pats when it counts...and still trailing by 1 ring :D

"Deserved" the win? Interesting...

What a waste of a season. Pittsburgh is officially the champion by default. Would they have beaten the Patriots with Brady at the helm? No. Would they have beaten a healthy/aligned Colts team? No. And then they are handed the Cardinals on a silver spoon in the SB and BARELY squeeked by... NOT impressed.

I don't think anyone "hates" the Steeler team itself, they just hate *******, ignorant Penn inbreds like yourself.

Yea! Wait...I'm from Pennsylvania. I dislike the Steelers franchise mostly because I can't stand their fanbase. According to many of them - Roethlisberger is a Godsend (he wouldn't have half as many wins if he didn't have that killer defense bailing him out), Hines Ward is one of the best receivers of all time (good blocker, average starting receiver), and I've even heard Jeff Reed is the greatest kicker of all time. Quick to get a sweeled head, and even quicker to make excuses when the Steelers lose.
I'm not running down the Steelers 100% here, they gritted through things and pulled it off.

I think if the Cards had threw to Fitzgerald from the start of the game and not just th 2nd half, this would have been a Cards win. For the life of me I cannot understand why they wouldn't go to argueably the best player on the field from the 1st play on. The guy is an incredible talent. I don't card if he's double-teamed, he'll most likely come down with the ball anyway.
Congrats to the Steelers though. Great throw and catch on that last TD. It had to be perfect, and it was.

Now my one question without really wanting to cause chaos here, but why in the world would Rooney 1st thank Pres. Obama above all else? Exactly what was that about? I've never heard any owner/player/head coach, ect., thank the President...?!?! Anyone have a reason for this?

Obama was asked to make a prediction on the game - he picked the Steelers. That's the only reason I can think of.

Not all Steeler fans are retarded...

Bad officiating in that game (both ways).

On both sides of the argument there are a few that give the entire "bunch" a bad name....

Rooney and Obama a close friends.

And Obama made an executive order that the Steelers win the game... ;)

Here is what I didn't understand... when there was like what, 5 min left in the game the Cardinals made that 87 yard drive for a touchdown and had roughly 2-2 1/2 minutes left in the game and the previous time the Steelers had the ball they had stopped them, right? SO WHY, WHY w/ only 2 1/2 minutes LEFT IN THE GAME you would go into that cover-2 defense and NOT pressure them??? IT worked for the defense on the Steelers last possession, WHY on earth would you "let" them (depending on whether you say let them or not) march down the field like that? They stopped blitzing and just held back as Ben threw good passes to get them downfield. Is it me or does it seem like almost EVERY team does this??? Why let up when it worked previously??? KEEP AT THEM DANGIT!
