The Brewers do have an easy schedule after the Phillies, but what scares me is if they can't beat the good teams, their playoff chances are not going to look good. It will be nice if we win the division since it hasn't been done since 1982, but if we don't pick up the pace here soon, that's all we may have to talk about next year is just a division win.

Yes, the MVP is playing that game, you are correct. I didn't know you were a Braun fan.

0-4 last night for Braun, he needs to watch the master.

Because we all know MVP seasons are made in 1 night.

I have no problem with phillies fans saying they are better than the brewers yadda yadda.

Just dont try to compare ryan howard to ryan braun......thats just very silly.

When its all said and done Braun will have better numbers than Howard. I like Howard and think he is a tremendous player but there is something about Braun.

I will remember this thread when the Brewers sweep the Phillies this week overtaking the best record in the NL.

My face when the Phillies #3 pitcher and their C team offense makes you look like a moron:

Still my face...when you look two times as stupid.

Damn...3 times as stupid? My face is going to be frozen with that stupid grin, by the time this is all over.

(Keep in mind, this was without Utley, Rollins and Howard starting).

See ya in October!

Please. The bolded is a lie.

Anything can happen in October but to say this series means nothing is a flat out lie.

Seriously, if you want to lie to yourself and tell yourself that...then whatever helps you sleep at night.

But there is no way it's true...this was the Brewers chance to prove that they can hang with the Phillies, and even gain some regular season ground.

Instead, they are 1 game from being swept, by a team that has been without many of their key regulars.

But yeah, this series meant nothing at all.

The best part of this thread is the Brewers fans saying they would sweep and overtake the Phillies as best team in the NL, and now that they are on the brink of a sweep themselves, all of a sudden the series means nothing.

The Giants fans that were nipping at our ankles a month ago where at least more consistent.

I never said we would sweep and ive always said the phillies are better than the brewers.

Its a September series that we got demolished in.

We are definately not playing like the team that got us the big (now getting much smaller) division lead.

Would it be nice to beat the Phillies in the regular season? Of course

Is it important that we beat them in the regular season. Not really

I dont know why Phillies fans feel like they need to keep telling people how good they are, we get it, they are the best team in baseball.

They have the best odds to win the world series BY FAR.

They have 2 cy young candidates on the pitching staff and the rest of the staff could be aces anywhere else.

The offense is the best in the NL if not the MLB.

Theres nothing to prove here. And the Brewers fans who come on here thinking we are better than the Phillies are just uneducated.

Nobody said you couldnt be passionate about your team, but act like you havent done this every year for the past 5 or so.

Brewers make the playoffs once every 25 years, and NEVER win the division. Give us a moment to at least hope what could possibly happen this year.

Its obvious this wont be settled until one of our seasons is over. I just never imagined Phillies fans being worse than Red Sox or Yankees fans, or even Giants fans for that matter, but its to that point i guess.
