Hopefully Topps will finally release a cert of Mark Langston and/or Chuck Finley.

For my own selfish reasons, I would like to add Shane Reynolds to this list and I would pick up autos of ALL three guys.

Really looking forward to the checklist, can't wait to see some of the "new" names that will be included.

i'm disappointed ATFF won't have a base set component, my favorite part of the release.

I don't see the excitement in the autos other than the subjects, because they are hard to see on the card with their dark ink on an image that has some dark places. Maybe you need to glint light off the card surface to see the full auto good. ;)

I would love to see a base set component also!
A 500 card set with serial numbered autograph variations and cut autos of deceased players

Okay, so let's take this in a different direction--this is Fan Favorites. So make a list of five (we'll keep it short) of favorite players you want to see in this set--autographes or not, doesn't matter. Not like Topps will use our list, but I'm interested in what we come up with. Keep in mind those who have been in before, too. (so I won't include Gary Gaetti. Been there, done that.) There's plenty of players who have retired since the last set to make the the new set desireable.

Here's my five:
Mike Piazza
Larry Walker
Trevor Hoffman
Mark McGwire (wouldn't that be exciting?)
Jim Edmonds

Griffey and Will Clark have been shown in preliminary images, so they're off my list, but would love to pull either of them.

I'm biased, but here goes:

Jeff Conine
Charles Johnson
Livan Hernandez
Nigel Wilson (I'm clearly insane)
Rusty Greer

My Top Five:
Mike Greenwell
John Valentin
Ellis Burks
Bob Stanley
Bruce Hurst

A few above have 1 certified auto set, but none were on a Topps card. And of course I would want them all pictured on a Red Sox card! ;)

Harold Reynolds would probably be a huge hit, don't know his feelings about autographing cards for card companies. Any of the guys from MLB Network and ESPN Baseball Tonight would make for a good multi autographed card. Sent in cards to Bobby Valentine, Rob Dibble, Dave "Soup: Campbell and Joe Morgan years ago, and got autos. (Morgan didn't sign the card I sent, but sent back an index card.) Haven't tried it for a long time, though.

I'd go nuts for a nice Moose auto.

Will, Greer has some mid-90's Donruss auto's, but I am sure if he was included in one of these sets they would look a LOT nicer. And I'd have to pick one up.

My 5:

Richard Hidalgo (biased, but Astros fans loved him)
Shane Reynolds (ditto)
Brad Ausmus (Astros uni)
Shawn Green (Dodgers uni)
Eric Karros (Dodgers uni)

Looks like it's not just autos and retired players
