Hi guys, just wanted to share a bit of good news for a veteran of this and the previous community.

David's wife gave birth to a baby boy last night.

William Branson 8 lbs 5 oz, and 23 inches long

Although part of me is sad that a new mets fan is born, I am still very very excited and happy for a good friend of mine and a good friend to the boards.

Congrats Dave.

Call me crazy, but is a 23" Leatherman really a handy pocket tool? I don't know about your pants, but I would guess that it would tear a hole in my pockets just trying to carry it.

On a serious note, congrats David.

Thanks for the well wishes from everyone else. Mommy and William are doing well, and his two big sisters just can't stop kissing him.

We finally decided on a middle name today: William Joaquin Branson. My wife is Dominican, and we were back and forth about many middle names, including Marichal for the first Hispanic (and Dominican) Hall of Famer. Everyone loved the name itself, but my wife didn't like the way it flowed. Joaquin is also the first name of the pitcher who is 6th in Wins of all Dominican born players, Joaquin Andujar. He is most remembered for his time in St Louis where he posted back-to-back 20 win season in the 80s. He also went 2-0 in the 1982 World Series (with a 1.35 ERA), including the win in game 7 before he handed the ball to Bruce Sutter. I was never really a fan of his (as it has been stated, I am a Mets fan and DESPISED the 1985 Cardinals for beating my Mets), but I will certainly be collecting some of his stuff now.

Koal - I don't know if you are joking or just confusing me with someone else. For the record, I have had 2 ebay accounts in my life. One is naturalsportscards, which is my selling account and linked via FCB on the left. If you check my DSRs, you will see that they are superb (three 5.0s and a 4.9). I have had one negative (total) in my 7 years on ebay, which was from a Taiwanese buyer who ripped me off $361.55 for an Alex Gordon gold refractor. He claimed he never received, but then tried to sell it to one of my loyal Taiwan buyers a few weeks later. This same person sent Jeff Chin (JVC) an empty bubble mailer on a $1400 purchase within a month of ripping me off.

My other ebay account is for buying only, and has always been at 100%. The account name is freedomcardboard. When I realized that it was available late last year, I snagged it so that someone else wouldn't and potentially give freedomcardboard a bad name. I immediately contacted Chris to see if he wanted it, and he told me "No thanks." It remains available to him (for no cost) if he ever decides he wants it for the boards.

Maybe you are completely joking, in which case I apologize for missing the joke. But I don't really know you, and this would seem a rather inappropriate joke. And if you weren't joking and just had me confused with another ebayer...I still think that's pretty messed up. You have revealed substantially more about your character than mine. I mean, what kind of person posts something so vicious on a thread about the birth of someone's child? I create new posts on FCB 5-10 times per month...surely you could have spit your venom on one of these threads.
