I have a problem with a handful of DLP products that are being posted here. I think if the autograph is cut off by the window, that is a negative. I don't think you can consider that a "good use of a sticker."...

This issue isn't limited to sticker autos, it happens with all autos: the auto running outside the designated signing area or off the card.

Here's the thing: It isn't that stickers can't be done appealingly. But I challenge you to show me any sticker auto that wouldn't look better on card.

Silver or gold auto on the brown area where the sticker is would look a million times better

This is a perfect example of a card that could not possibly have been made with an on card auto due to the time limits with Team USA.

If you guys are gonna use the "player touched" argument I think we need a restraining order.

I'm not going to go that far ... they just don't look right. Clear ones aren't bad when positioned correctly but otherwise there are visually unappealing!

No, that's beyond creepy.

A sticker almost never has the same stock/gloss as the card it's attached to. Plus it's raised above the card surface. As someone who displays most of my higher end cards, stickers stand out and look like crap when viewed at any angle other than straight-on.

To say one way always looks better than the other is assinine.

Cuts and stickers are usually better when one wants to highlight an autograph. And lets face it, most people pay extra for an auto they can see and show off. Just like the Sweet Spot autos...which as discussed previously are stickers.

I devalue sticker autographs to the point of no interest... I think they totally defeat the purpose of an autograph card...so i think none of them look good! I could take a dump and take an autograph sticker of pujols and say he signed it... pretty much what I think of a sticker auto! Sorry if you dont like it.. but the market wont last with sticker autos... less and less people will buy them as companies will be forced to make on card autos..... in the end all sticker autos will lose value.....

This set, IMO, is about as good it gets, simple and clean design.

it was previously discussed and debunked.

the SS cards are built before the player signs them, so it's not like signing sheet after sheet of stickers.

Cards like this would look terrible with stickers. Some athletes have crazy signatures which adds to the cards personality IMO.

I almost kept this one:

if it's almost invisible, it almost passes.

But when it comes down to it, it still doesn't pass in my book. The player signed the sticker, not the card. So bowman chrome it was.

Exactly. And see how small his sig is? If it was on card, he would have more freedom to sign and it would look 100% better.

If this was on-card, it would be one of his SICKEST cards in existence.
