Rum: I know your Turtles are mostly for you kid, but are the rest of the toys something you are starting to collect or just selling? I notice you are picking up quite a lot, which it pretty cool.

ever since my son and I started collecting turtles Ive been picking up all kinds of toys to trade/sale to get the $$$ to fund our turtle collection. I did pretty well at my yard sale over the weekend. I made over $500 total and about $200 of that was toys alone. Ive been picking up most of the action figures for .49-.99 each and been selling them for $3-$5 each. I noticed a lot of toy collectors on instagram so I started picking stuff up to trade on there for other tmnt stuff. saves me $$$ in the long run spend .99 on a batman figure and trade him for a tmnt that would normally cost me $5-$10 on ebay. plus its fun looking for the older toys. Ive had pretty good luck. you should see how much I have right now.

great yard sale autographs

I've been looking for Starter jackets at thrift stores for months with no luck. I got my first one at a yard sale last weekend. It cost me $3.

This has two autographs:

We got to talking and he mentioned he regularly has yard sales. He does storage auctions and sells his finds a few times a year. The guy had two albums of autographed photos. I jumped on the Ice-T and KRS1 autos for $5 each. The Little Richard was also $5.

$3 for this Yankees Wiz set. Found two autos on it when I got home.

This baseball was a throw-in.

The Yankees Starter jacket is an older design. I could only find one on ebay. Asking price is $190. An almost identical Little Richard auto recently sold for $120!

Wow, serious haul! That is just so cool that you have built a collection with you son. Toys seem to keep you young at heart. I have 2 girls and we hit flea markets and garage sales. I get lots of dolls and girl stuff, but they always keep an eye out for cars and trucks for me! I love all your post, keep them coming. Good luck with you and your sons collection.

When I find big lots of TMNT or Care Bears I hide them & give them one every once in a while since they are so hard to find
