I have this thing with Goodwill where I buy a lot of baseball books and tell myself that I will read them some day. Last night I brought these home:

Then when I opened the Cal book, I saw this, which is actually signed with a marker/Sharpie (it bleeds through onto the next page):

Cal collectors, did Cal sign a million of these or do I have something worth anything here? Honestly, it is very likely that I will just keep it knowing that it was signed by a baseball hero from my childhood. But, if it's worth a gajillion dollars, I can be persuaded to sell.

Awesome find. I've looked at 1000s of books at GW over the last year or so and that would be a great score. Congrats on the score.

Cal signs a ton but he's still an all-time great. Probably $20-$30 or so.

congrats on the Cal auto. Very cool!

and The Big Show was a great book to read, especially if you lived on Sportscenter during the nineties!

I had a decent day at the stores.

I'm looking for more Justin Morneau coats, and I needed to get pricing on them from the local thrift stores.

Here's what I came away with (buying coats tomorrow):

Store 1:

1994 Madden NFL Sega Genesis Limited Edition (I assume a first printing) - $2. Not worth much, but it's cool to have.

Store 2:

3 diecast cars all #'d/10,000. I need to do some research on these.

Had my coolest find ever today. Found a cricket bat from the 2004 Gabba Bulls team for $2.99 at a thrift store. The cricket team is located in Australia. I can only imagine the story of how it got to Knoxville. I have it listed at a stupid $149 BIN/BO but don't really want to sell as I think it's a fantastic piece.

Hey Rum a quick question....besides the Z-Core basa are any other bats worth picking up? I see a lot of Eastons & Louisville Slugger metal bats but have never had the chance to find a Z-Core. Thanks in advance.

The easton redline z cores, c cores are some of the most valuable. A lot of the -5 bats are worth some good $$$. Any bats with the better alloys too sc500 & c405 are 2 that come to mind

Easton z2k
Easton redlines z cores & c cores
Easton Reflex's
Easton connexion sc500

Tpx air attack
Tpx omaha

Few off top of my head
