Fire up the bandwagon for the league's best third place team!

bankwagon? no..

Third place not for long. They are on fire and getting the pitching and hitting that they expected. Injuries hurt them in April, but 9-2 since A-Rod came back.

GO YANKEES!

Best third place team??? The New Freaking York Freaking Yankees are about to be 8-0 in the last 8 games. They will clearly not lose the rest of the season and will wrap up the division by July 4th. Mark my words!!!!

They have figured out the new stadium.... they can bunt for doubles.... sneeze and be walked on 4 str8 balls. This is the greatest stadium ever built.

2009 World Series Champions!! NEW YORK YANKEES!!!!!

Of course they are going to hit homeruns. All you HEAR about this new stadium is that it's very home run friendly. Wait until they get back on the road, again, and the streak will end.

The first two would have been lazy fly balls in any other stadium, but the visiting team has the same short porch.

It's the same distance as the old park.

Yes, the dimensions are the same. But, combined with the ridiculous wind currents due to the construction of the stadium, it's producing HR at a never-before-seen pace.

If the Yankees are hitting home runs like crazy, why can't other teams? Just because the new stadium gives up this many homeruns, that doesnt mean it's only an advantage to the yankees. They are just better than their opponents.

And where the hell did I say that? I didn't even mention the Yankees. Neither did the quotes above.

But, now that you've brought it up, a team can certainly use their home stadium to their advantage, especially over a number of years. I wouldn't blame them for it one bit either. But if the Stadium continues to produce HRs the way it currently is, they may need to do something about it.

my last post was supposed to be in response to the following quote, sorry about that
also, right now I dont think there is much of an advantage for the yankees since they have only played a very small amount of games there, but definately in the future there will be

As exciting as it may be for them to win 8 in a row...don't forget 6 of those 8 games were against easier teams.

Lets see what happens when the Phillies come to town.
