Injuries or not, they're playing like garbage right now. How about the not injured players not playing like themselves? Jeter, Sabathia, Teixeira, etc... No excuses. They'd better find themselves soon, cause the Rays are not showing any signs of slowing.

We do look pathetic. Tex needs to be benched. I do not give a crap how much money he makes or the amount of errors he saves the defense. The dude wouldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat for crying out loud.....

Wait! I thought all the Yankee fans were just saying just wait until May???

It's not that bad, think of the Cubs fans who have been saying "Just wait until next year" for a really really long time.

I still feel that Granderson was a huge loss for this team, on defense, offense and even the pitchers.

First of all, having Granderson back will fill a huge void in the Yankees lineup.

Having Granderson back will fill a huge void in the Yankees outfield,

And finally, having Granderson back will fill a huge void in fly balls not turning into hits and runs because of Thames' and Winn's defense.

The injured player thing really has nothing to do with why we aren't performing now. Yes, Granderson was a loss for us because we have to deal with the Winn/Thames crap, but I mean Posada hasn't been too bad since Cervelli has been playing great. I really don't know what's wrong with us right now but something better happen soon to get us out of our slump. And it better happen fast because the Rays sure aren't showing any signs of slowing down.

Thank god Hughes and Pettite have been lights out (i know each kinda had a rough start recently). But pitching is gonna have to stay strong till Granderso, Posada and the rest come back strong.

And honestly there has to be some AAA players better than Winn.

To say I am NOT worried would be an understatement.

I own a card store in the BRONX and while most customers are Yankee fans, there are some who are not and this happens every single year.

They play like champs and the non Yankee fans dont say much. They play like crap and these same people BS me every day.

Its a 162 game season with many hills and valleys. Big winning streaks and shatty 20 game stretches. You throw in injuries to many of their stars and add fill ins who are "just that" and its easy to understand their current crappiness.

Im more worried about Teixeira than I am about the whole team. By this time of the year, hes usually mashing but the only thing he is mashing now are his potatoes.
