Re: diamond9sports, very hard to deal with

I called paypal and told them the situation, and they said they understood about shipping charges and how much they would ruin the transaction since they are for more than the card is worth, I have never heard of this being done, but they told me they are closing the dispute, hold onto the item not as described and are issuing me a "courtesy refund" and they will give me the 6 dollars within the next 3 days, kind of cool, I was honest, and everything worked out, despite the seller still getting to have 6 dollars for his lies.

Re: don't deal with diamond9sports and his "autos" UPDATE!

Looks like I stepped in the crap pile a little late here so forgive me but when exactly did Miggy autos start going for $5?Last one I got I ended up paying close to $15 or $20 for.Not trying to sound rude but I would have thought it was suspect from the beggining.

As far as your case goes...I'd just keep the card and never do business with the guy again.Don't ever take anything that isn't yours.I am not saying that to sound like I am better than anyone or to be holier than thou.I am saying it because I believe if you take something that isn't your or you steal...it will come back to you a lot worse.Trust me.I have seen it happen time and time again.Besides...$5 for a Miggy GU isn't so bad.Just leave the seller neutral or negative feedback.

As far as sending something back...never do it unless you are buying a high end item.I do not like the rule of having to send the item back first to get a refund and I also do not like how most sellers will not refund your shipping to send the item back.I know this case is different because he initially said he'd recoup your shipping but most sellers will not and in my mind its a cost thats really theirs to deal with. Its certainly no fault of the buyer if the item is the wrong item to begin with.

Re: diamond9sports, very hard to deal with

I would have sent you $6 to stop this stupid thread....to be honest, nobody cares that you lost $6....and from the content of your posts, I have to wonder how you function in the real world on a day-to-day basis.

If you are 14 yrs old....then I will cut you some slack....however, we have some younger members that conduct themselves with a great deal more maturity than you.

Re: please DELETE

Why is everyone so turned off by the fact it is just $6? What is the threshold where it starts to matter that you got ripped?

But by all means, everyone feel free to PayPal me $6

I don't think it is simply that it is only $6, but mainly the OPs reaction when it was $6. The over the top anger and calling the guy at home when he hadn't even really tried to resolve the issue yet is excessive, and that is especially true when it was only $6.

If he had first tried to resolve the issue, found out the seller wouldn't do anything and then posted a heads up, I don't think there would have been an issue.

Re: please DELETE

I think Craig is pretty much right on point. To react so immaturely and in such an overblown fashion reflects poorly on the poster, not the seller. I'm sure a kind email could have quickly resolved this situation. In fact, I really fail to see the problem here...I believe the seller offered a full refund, including covering shipping. Miguelcabrera simply continued to flip out when the seller mentioned that the card would have to be returned first, and be in good condition. Would you purchase a tv at Best Buy, decide you don't want it, and then call them to ask for a refund before the item is returned to the store? Would you still expect a refund if you drop the tv in the parking lot and break it on the way to return it?

This situation could have been resolved simply and quietly...similar situations have come up over far higher end cards, and have been resolved with an email or two. Instead, MC decided to blow the situation out of proportion, and in my eyes came out looking like a drama queen moreso than the victim he tried to portray himself as.

miguelcabrera - You aren't an idiot. You're young and overreacted a bit here. Learn from it and move on. No biggie.

Re: I am an idiot

I know this kid has made several inane posts on here. But's that just it, isn't it? Isn't he 17 or 18? He's a kid. Kids overreact. Hell, adults overreact all the time. Ever watch Cops or Wife Swap?

I understand everyone's point that it is only $6, but it's a matter of principal. I bought a Prestige Xtra Bases Red insert a few weeks ago of Andre Dawson for $1.49. What did I get from the seller? A 2008 Topps Chrome Aramis Ramirex Xfractor. Did I post about it? No (until now of course). Was I a little pissed? Yeah, because it's a hard to find card. Doesn't matter that it was less than $2.

So, I understand Miggy's frustration. What I don't understand is why everybody still jumps all over this kid because he overreacted like kids do from time to time.

I'm sure the flames will be directed my way next :D
It's just my .02

Although I'm pretty sure I haven't argued with anyone here.

Look I understand what your saying about the immature posts.I agree to the highest possible extent. But please don't use your example ever again to liken anything in the real world to ebay. Its not a feasible one to use.I would never send a card back to a seller unless I had to because 9 times out of 10 its probably going to cost you more than its worth. The only card I have ever paid for and had to send back was an A-Rod SP rookie card.I sent it back because it was screwed up and not on accident either.Naxcom(now sportsbuy) told me I had to send it back or else I wouldn't be able to get a refund.I understand that perfectly. My only problem was the guy didn't even insure it or DC it or anything. Now I was having to waste extra money to do so just to make sure no games were played. It was very expensive and I didn't want a he said he said situation coming about.I told naxcom I wanted to be reimbursed for shipping and they said they would have the seller reimburse whatever I spent.

What did I do?I overnighted that sucker with DC and signature and $100 insurance. The seller then complained because he said there was no way he was refunding me $16 to send it back.He said it was not fair and naxcom sided with him but they ended up refunding me the full amount out of their own pocket.I was ready to stick it to this guy because not only had he sent me a bogus card, not used anything other than a bubble mailer(no insurance nothing), and now I was having to waste my time and money as a customer trying to do everything I can to make sure I get what I pay for and don't get screwed over but it pissed me off.A customer should not have to go through that crap.If I do...you can bet I will do my best to cause you a problem because if you pull some stuff, even if its by accident, your causing me a problem.I want the problem to be mutual.Especially since your basically spitting on the money I spent towards your service.

So comparing it to an actual store you can take the item to is a lot different.Besides...if I have to go through too much crap even with a store...I will never buy from there again.I haven't purchased anything from Sears for about 6 years or so now.Not even tools.I load up at Home Depot. My way of thinking is it should not be a hassle for the customer.Your doing the business a favor by spending money there. Now if you stop because your upset with them it may not mean a hill of beans but its about the best thing you can do as a disgruntled customer right?

Whether it was $6 or 60 cents it doesn't matter.I get to the point I see so many people do so many things and its starts to make me wonder where the hell do you draw the line. How much do you let people get away with? Why should the quantity be the only reason to say no.It makes no sense.

Hello, I am the seller of the cards in question in this thread. I want everyone to know the truth. My feedback is well over 7,000 and I've been selling on Ebay nearly 11 years now. Miguelcabreracollector is a bad kid who tried, unsuccessfully, to extort free cards and money from me. After reading this thread, I see I have some of you to thank for that. I also want to thank the HONEST ones on this thread who said that was dishonest. OK, so here's what happened. I use a bulk upload system (created and maintained by Beckett.com) to upload my ebay store items. I uploaded 300 items that day and did not notice the "AUTO" that was mistakenly added to the descriptions on some of the jersey cards. I shipped nearly $200 worth of these cards before I was alerted by Miguelcabreracollector in over 60 rude and vulgar emails. I immediately offered him a refund if he shipped the card back to me withing 7 days (as stated in the auction). All he did was threaten, curse and follow the dishonest advice offered in this thread. He filed a non receipt claim, which I had Paypal close and reopen as not as described. So, then after all this junk he give me, Miguelcabreracollector cancels the claim and keeps the card. So, here's my side of it, please feel free to check out my ebay account, I'm diamond9sports, with well over 7K feedback. Also, the other buyer, nicely returned the cards and has since received a FULL refund. This was not my fault, but I made it right for the honest buyers.

also to diamond9sports I edited this post so many times to have the title switched from "what to do?" and other things to "please delete" but a few mods thought it would be funny to switch it to its current title and not delete it

so the title is not on my part

Great, thanks, now that is what people will see. Catch any good HR balls lately? Sorry to the others who read this, but this brat makes me mad and I may sound rude when responding to him. He ruins Ebay for honest dealers.
